However, I miss my old Maurices watch... it needs a new battery too. It's not functional, except to tell time, but it's a damn cool looking watch. Too bad they don't make this style anymore. sad.gif

Do you mean it's a pity Maurices don't make that style any more or just that style from any watch? Because there's quite a few watches still made in that kind of styling.

Here's a few on Amazon

Anybody ever have a watch battery die screaming? The watch I had before this one screamed for HOURS as it died! I had to put it under about 3 blankets so I couldn't hear it anymore. tongue.gif

I personally am not against smart watches but the only thing I dislike is having to charge it daily. Till they design longer life and more apps useful to my personal criteria, I'll stick to the old school. biggrin.gif

That's already there. My Garmin Vivoactive HR lasts 8 days on a 45 minute charge off a laptop or pocket battery charger. That was critical in my finally 'buying' into this evolving technology.

surprise.gif I did not know that!

I'm just waiting for them to be banned in correctional facilities. Currently I don't think many policies cover them like they do with phones but probably just a matter of time. One of the other reasons why I probably will stick with something reliable and self-contained. smile.gif

plus with some they essentially get a limited form of internet connection (??). Seiko diver or some field watch with a limited amount of WR meets my daily needs smile.gif I'm also trying to become less connected. Still maintain a FB account etc, just trying to let it invade my daily life less so I am free to enjoy life more smile.gif

It's nice but it also comes with a nice price tag. Also battery life is still too short on this one.
