Hi, Does anyone know what episode/scene/stunt RDA was filming when he hurt his back in the 3rd season? I've heard him talk about how he got his foot in hole as he was running but the interviewer never asks for more details. Any ideas? I've always wondered.

Well, the first thing that comes up is Ghost Ship. Bigfoot throws him with his back against a tree. And you clearly see him go: 'My back!'. The question is however did he really hurt himself smacking that tree or was it acting? Further I can't recollect any back injuries or stunts that were bad for his back in season 3.
I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver. Sometimes you just have to die a little inside to be reborn and rise again as a stronger and wiser version of you. It's better to be a little sad than to be fake content.

As far as I know he got his back injury during 'For Love or Money', second season. He talked about it in an interview, but right now I can't find it. Anyway, RDA/Mac had to run towards camera in order to stop Viera, the treacherous wife of Dubcek. She fired a shot at Mac, he ducked and rolled to prevent getting hit. To my knowledge that was the moment RDA hurt his back. If not, I hope someone will correct me.

In this interview RDA says that he was "running towards the camera and put my foot in a hole" and felt a numbness in his lower back as it happened.
This interview was in October 1988 and they said the injury happened a couple of years previous so that makes it second season. THey also say he managed to finish the season in spite of the pain which indicates that it's can't have been For Love or Money as this was the last episode.

Yep, Thats one of the interviews that I was refering to. I'd love to find the one where it mentions the 3rd season. I know it wasn't here on the forum. The interview was during the 4th and I recall it being for Entertainment Tonight as well. I also recall RDA saying some rumers where "a load of crap" during one of them.
