Hullo everyone!

So sorry it's been this long since I posted something, but I've been very busy with Real Life stuff... well, I think most of you know what it's like.

I guess that some of you have already seen this, but for those of you who don't... well, don't blame me if you must watch this over and over and over and over and over again for days on end, and still picking your jaw up from the floor.

This is seriously one of the most impressive videos I've ever seen on YouTube... and seriously, guys, I spend a LOT of time over there, so I think I know what I'm talking about.

I don't know that much about the guy and the band itself, but this is obviously a Swedish musician (and engineering genius, I might add...) who built a music machine which is operated by around 2000 marbles, and he's one of the members of a Swedish band called "Wintergatan" who are very fond of music machines and often build their own instruments.

But this one isn't only a machine that says "bing bing" and that's that... which in a sense would have impressed me enough, but... no, it... well, click the link, and you'll see what I mean!

Obviously, this guy is inspired by MacGyver, since he talks fondly about duct tape and such, (yep, there's some duct tape involved in this construction as well...) and in one of their "Making Of" videos he's waving with the MacGyver DVD collection. laugh.gif But I'd say... the building of this thing is the ultimate homage. biggrin.gif

Edit--the "embed function" doesn't seem to be working, so here's the raw link instead:

It's definitely unique, if not a bit whimsical. I had this overwhelming
feeling come over me that Peewee Herman was going to step out from
behind the machine before all was said and done. It's hard to absolutely
ascertain if al the tones/notes are coming from the device or if it's synched
at all .... but take it at face value. Good stuff! (should post it on the music
thread, as well!)

The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a man's determination.

Whether you think you can or you can't .... you're probably right!

Oh yes--I should have mentioned it in the first place, sorry. The music IS genuine, although of course it's run through a mixer, and it doesn't sound quite the same if you're listening live. But yes, it is really happening. And it took him 14 months to build it... ohmy.gif

Like I said--now that's dedication! tongue.gif

Edit to clarify--it's run through a mixer LIVE, as can be seen.

Embed function works. smile.gif just paste the embed link into your reply. No need to add video.

Made the change for you. Great video BTW. smile.gif
