Hi guys, I thought it would be a good idea if everyone who has a great web page on interesting things that could be used for MacGyverisms posted them here.

For example: Chemistry, Electric, Mechanic, DIY, Survival in the wilderness...

Hello, long time lurker here. But, school, family and work has kept me very busy.
I would like to add this link for a simple electric generator : http://www.eskimo.com/~billb/amateur/coilgen.html

A note of interest is the Sak used in the video.
Thanks to everyone for a great forum, I have enjoyed spending time here. smile.gif

How to crimp RJ-45 ethernet connectors using only your Vic Sak. Works on standard phone RJ-11 connectors as well.

Last ditch lighting from pencil lead : http://www.metacafe.com/watch/726251/turn_...l_into_a_light/
Ignition produces light and heat, so, ALL sane precautions apply.

hmm.bmp Hiking/Backpacking/"Outdoorsy" Survival and D.I.Y. discussions: The best site I have found so far, by a country mile, for real world and useful discussions by a friendly crowd of people (much like here..), is the 'Practical Backpacking Forums' site - http://www.practicalbackpacking.com/forums/

(I have also set up similar threads - covering such things as D.I.Y. tips, MacGyverisms, "Outdoorsy" and survival discussions, in two other forums that I frequent ~ my own "Bushwalkers Rest" site (still only in its half-baked infancy, so far..); and my favourite social site - "The Ministry of the Village". All positive and constructive comments on my threads are always welcome.. tongue.gif).
