Couldn't decide if color of black and white was better for this photo.... still not sure to be honest.

I have a tendency towards black & white for subject photos, such as people, faces, etc because colors can be distracting and I personally think B & W lets you focus on the subject of the photo.

I've been video documenting the plight of the fox family for the past three months and plan to continue to do so until the first snow flies in the autumn. Eight of them in all, 3 silver(black) kits, 3 red kits, the Vixen and the Dog (male) Fox. So far it's been a roller coaster of emotions with all you can expect of a wild fox family living openly in an urban environment. A national media outlet even ran a story on them, which resulted in way too many gawkers, idiots(one guy released his hound dogs as he approached the den to see if his dogs could catch one - madness!) and overly kind people encroaching on their territory. Will post a link to the finished product when complete ....

Jedi, the night shots are from the 'moon glow' where the pilots all get together and fire up their (very translucent) balloons as twilight fades into nightfall ..... a favorite for all enthusiasts! The concept started at the Albuquerque fiesta and known as 'balloon glow' or 'night glow' .... anyway you say it, quite magical!

Barry, the good news is that the whales should be headed down your way soon and for the winter months. Hard (like someone we all know&admire) not to get caught up in their plight and very addictive to spend some time with them. Some people just travel the world (a la a rock concert groupie) and hangout with them as their fulltime passion/hobby. But in this growing, chaotic world .... they need our help to survive. We've had a particularly disturbing summer and with the (already very depleted in numbers) Northern Right Whale population which you can be certain RDA is keeping tabs on .........
