Today is the 3rd anniversary of Dana's passing.

Yes 3 years have passed since we received the sad news that our beloved Pete was no longer with us.

The below links are a couple of videos made by Cyril in memory of Dana Elcar

Dana Elcar was such a lovable actor! I recently picked up an old TV series that I used to watch all the time as a kid--'Baa Baa Black Sheep'. I had quite forgotten that Dana Elcar was a regular on that show. It is a treat to see him!

I wrote a little tribute for Dana... just a drabble. I hope it is okay to repost it here.

A tall figure stands in the shadow of a great tree, head bowed. From the fingers of one hand a few blooming stems dangle,
half-forgotten as he reads the words incised upon the stone at his feet.

A few errant drops cut through the trees, dragging occasional leaves from the green clusters overhead. They fall like tears
unnoticed on the man's shirt as he stoops awkwardly and lays the flowers at the base of the stone.

"I miss you, Pete. Things just aren't the same without you."

In a shaft of sunlight, falling drops become glowing jewels.

*moment of silence for Dana Elcar*

*additional moment of appreciation for Lothi's work*

I had to work yesterday, but I didn't forgot. We miss you, Dana!

Hmm- Dana Elcar came to mind again today. Still sad to think one great actor and one huge part of MacGyver is gone. At least his work still lives on on video.
And I noticed in the "Young MacGyver" pilot that along with Richard Dean Anderson's portrait, one is included for Dana Elcar at the Phoenix Foundation, so that's way cool. That made me smile. smile.gif

I can't believe it's really been 3 years.
