MDBfan, if you know that the repeated molecular model above the word Batman is that of sodium which has a periodic table symbol of 'Na' then it reads

Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na - BATMAN!!!! biggrin.gif

Now, please help me with the first one? hmm.bmp hmm.bmp

It's a mix up of the Back to the Future movie and the 3rd hobbit movie: There and Back Again (which has since been renamed)

Okay, thought I was missing some insider info. BTTF is one of my all tine favorites but haven't delved at all into the Hobbit trilogy.

Passing out twice on slingshot ride.

Kid passes out three times in twenty seconds on slingshot ride.

How about four times and screaming like a girl? tongue.gif

Oh lordy denizen... XD Somehow, I find that sorta frightening.

So, I was sorting through my files today, and found something you guys "might" like. It's a cast my Dad put together of his co-workers based off Star Wars characters. It's pretty old... early 90's, I believe. There are a lot of inside jokes, but... I don't get half of them anyway. Can anyone guess which one is my Dad? heehee

The things duct tape is good for.

It's good for

1. Fixing planes.
2. Not just the little ones.
3. For real.
4. Apollo 13 had duct tape on board and is one reason why the mission was saved.
5. It's also a good use for a car,
6. a hammock,
7. a bike,
8. a couch.
9. But also medically for animals.
10. Men.
11. Not sure for flat tyres though.
12. But it works for babies.
13. Or fashion for cats, hat
14. slippers,
15. shoes,
16. bra's,
17. wedding clothes.
18. prom dress
19. regular clothing,
20. rain jacket,
21. it fixes everything.
22. keeps you floating.
23. it's a fitting gift.
24. there is always someone who tries it
25. for something new.

And another one.

Now I find myself passing up on some of my old favorites in favor of veggies or healthier foods....even on the biggest eating holiday here in the States! However, as I type this, a freshly emptied bowl sits to the left of me after I devoured a piece of delectable apple pie!

Hi Barry, I was all set to give up on coffee and tea (mainly coffee - I have a good few cups in a day), but then read about caffeine and on balance it looked as though the science was on the side of caffeine rather than against it so at the moment I am still drinking it. What I am trying to eliminate (though I don't drink much anyway) as much as possible is alcohol. Though I must admit the traditionalist in me has still pumped the Christmas cake full of brandy to mature it. hmm.bmp

I'm with you there Maclover. I really enjoy eggnog, and though you can get it alcohol free, it's not quite the same. I've backed way off on the coffee and tea, but this time of year a nice hot cup of brew is hard to pass up!

Meanwhile somewhere in time Marty realizes Trump became President.

And actually there is more. I just hope I find some good ones but YouTube now has many videos in which peoples has begun comparing Donald Trump with Biff Tannen. A bully in school, chasing girls he thinks belongs to him, became very rich and powerful... Imagine we're in an alternate reality and Trump is supposed to be in the auto detail.

Marty, Doc, what have you done? This is getting scary. Despite being one year off, the Cubs did win the World Series.

Not only that but also The Simpsons predicted Trump would become president. Call it silly but I'm beginning to believe movies and tv can predict the future. Or am I wrong? hmm.bmp

Maybe a little late but this is Home Alone rated R.

https://youtu.be/Vx1eA0GcGRU
What if the old Marley was a killer?

Some guy just added digital blood to it, upping the violence much more. Got into this by accident. Lots of theories on how Kevin might become the Jigsaw Killer as well. I'm thinking now, reboot Home Alone with a grown up Kevin as a killer and make it a horror movie with a touch of black humor. Or simply give him a part in the next Saw movie (probably too late already since it's almost finished).

Posted by: DashboardOnFire 15 January 2017 - 02:50 PM
Speaking of "Home Alone" - have you ever seen the video of what would have happened to Harry and Marv it they were hurt like this for real? I think they both would have died for like 10 times.

Posted by: MacGyverGod 15 January 2017 - 05:48 PM
I have seen another one in which actual doctors and nurses explain the consequences of some of the traps. The first movie is still alright, but I always thought the boobytraps in the second movie are downright deadly.

Looks like the first one of the second clip when Harry falls on the car means bad news for Mac as well. Maybe they should make a clip about the Mac-injuries. Though mainly gunshots, there still the blows to the head, a poisoning here and an explosion there, maybe a rocket to a car.

Funny yet educational but let's not forget that in the first place they're meant to be movies. So don't think too hard about it.

I just found this article on a bogus newspaper site. This site is known for coming up with fake news articles as if they were real. This article however dates back to 2011 when Belgium wasn't able to form a government for more than a year.

https://www.raaskalderij.be/2011/01/koning-albert-benoemt-mcgyver-tot-nieuwe-preformateur/
You probably can't read it in the link since it's written in Dutch but I will try to translate it below. It's probably not even that funny anymore since the facts date back six years but I'll give it a go.

King Albert appoints MacGyver as a new preformateur

LAKEN - King Albert surely didn't steal his recent earned name as 'Belgian of the Year.' This afternoon around 2 pm the king received no one else than Angus MacGyver at the palace of Laken to help out Elio Di Rupo (PS), Bart De Wever (N-VA) en Johan Vande Lannote (SP.A) in their extremely difficult assignment. "If someone can save our country, it's him,' as it was said in Laken.

"MacGyver has all the capacity and experience to be a great addition for our problems", the king said in a press announcement later in the day. "He's not afraid to get his hands dirty and is bilingual (speaks and writes in English), has lots of experience in solving major problems and has fans on both sides of the language border. He also has a very confident appearance.

With this new angle - the use of scientific knowledge and inventive use of house-, garden- and kitchen stuff in combination with a Swiss Army Knife - it is certain new grounds can be explored to find a solution in a nearly desperate situation.

The other players are very positive on his coming: "He has proven more than once to be able to think and create complexe machines in only a matter of minutes," according to Bart De Wever, "perhaps that is what are country needs most of all. Accidit in puncto, quod non speratur in anno!”*

Also Elio Di Rupo is carefully positive about the 'MacGyverism' (the use of everyday stuff to create machines because of the despise of the use of guns). (enthusiastic) "He succeeded in using house- garden or kitchenstuff to create a poison or an explosion. Bang!"

Cotton swab

Angus MacGyver didn't had much to say about the whole situation, although he told the press that had to deal with desperate situations before, like the time he had to take out two bazooka's with only a paperclip, shoelaces and a screwdriver." A first concrete note about the splitting of Brussels-Halle-Vilvoorde by use of Butterfly Abs (an electronic, muscle stimulation device) and a cotton swab is to be expected next Monday: "We can not rush into things, right now", MacGyver concludes.

Translation Latin expression.
*"In one moment happens what no one expected in a year." Expression of the Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand I (1503-1564).

That government formation lasted 541 days and is officially known as the longest world record ever in the book of Guinness. But I really thought it was a cool article even though it's fake and just call Mac to solve the situation.

Just found this one on Facebook.

An airplane was about to crash. There were 4 passengers on board, but only 3 parachutes.
The 1st passenger said "I am Stephen Curry, the best NBA basketball player. The Warriors and my millions of fans need me, and I can't afford to die." So he took the 1st pack and left the plane.
The 2nd passenger, Donald Trump, said, "I am the newly-elected US President, and I am the smartest President in American history, so my people don't want me to die." He took the 2nd pack and jumped out of the plane.
The 3rd passenger, the Pope, said to the 4th passenger, a 10 year old schoolboy, "My son, I am old and don't have many years left, you have more years ahead so I will sacrifice my life and let you have the last parachute."
The little boy said, "That's okay, Your Holiness, there's a parachute left for you. America 's smartest President took my schoolbag."

You can embed YT-Videos quite easily: Just right-click on the Video Screen. YouTube gives you several Options (e.g. copy video-URL). Sadly, my Screenshot is in German (because I'm located in Switzerland), but I'm pretty sure your third Option would be something like "embed this Video" or "copy embedding Code". After choosing the copying embedding Code option, you can just copy it into here.

All this Everything Wrong With stuff is something I'm not really a fan of. What's the point of pointing out whatever is wrong with a movie? That's like, you better don't watch it because this, this and this is wrong with it and we say so. There's difference with nitpicking but if it's like pointing out how illogical or terrible a film is in a certain amount of time that would be like: djeez, if you don't like it, do something else, just don't ruin for others. That's like that channel that always seems to be knowing the real reason why a certain actor or actress is no longer casted.

Posted by: Jediferret 13 September 2017 - 03:59 PM
Would you like me to remove it? I just found it funny (as I love CinemaSins) and was just sharing.

Door swings both ways. You don't have to see it either. Freedom of speech allows people to express their opinions. And although his video is intrusive toward the movie, it is still just his opinion. It does not speak for the masses. However this movie in particular has been a victim of various critics because of its lack of success compared to previous entries in the series. For those who have seen it, pretty much know of its flaws. I personally liked it. But i didn't love it. So i'm not surprised that fans are backwashing in it with insults. They want to be entertained like the old days. That's the bottom line.

Let's get back on topic here folks! And that is to be funny. Perhaps the video is best suited in the movies thread. hmm.bmp

No, not all. It wasn't personal. I don't get YouTube channels like that. They're trying to prove something that is like not needed. If they can really point something out to fans to where the movie is wrong and be all hip and cool about it, that can ruin it for fans forever even if they do have a point.

But Denizen is right let's stick on topic here.

Well, what can I say? It is an honest trailer. You can say the McFly's are actually pretty sick. You're own mother falls for you, while you have to persuade your dad to go out with her by actually taking advantage of her. And Vern is into Jennifer. biggrin.gif

LOL! Those sound pretty typical for my family. XD We're very dysfunctional.

My boss introduced me to Tim Hawkins, a Christian Comedian. I actually saw another video of his called "Things You Don't Say To Your Wife". He's hilarious.

How do they do it?

Seriously, how?

This one doesn't even want to get out.

I can't even imagine the fit my mother would throw if she would've find me in one of those machines. Then again I wouldn't even come up with the idea of crawling in there in the first place.

How would MacGyver escape one of these? hmm.bmp

I guess he'd have to find one that he could fit into first. biggrin.gif

He'll never draw a sword again.

Joke time:
How do you find Will Smith in the snow?
Look for the fresh prints.

What a nice guy to tell her that.

Little bit of language here but at 1:15 it's just hilarious.

I heard this story on Pinterest, though I don't know if it's true or just made up. It basically involves a guy(I'll call him GUY #1) going into a bathroom stall and having a discussion with the guy (I'll call him GUY #2) in the stall next to him.
GUY#2: Hi, how are you?
GUY#1: Uh, I'm fine.
GUY#2: What are you doing?
GUY#1: Same as you, just sitting here.
GUY#2: Can I come over?
GUY#1: *annoyed* I'm a little busy right now.
GUY#2: Sorry I'll have to call you back, there's an idiot next door answering all my questions.
