Just curious, but does anybody have any great embarrassing moments they'd like to fess up to just for the heck of it? smile.gif It can be anything from falling up the stairs to an epic MacGyverism fail.

I'll start happy.gif

Mine happened a couple years ago. I had to have an endoscopy (for those of you who don't know, that's where they stick this long tube with a camera on the end of it down your throat and poke around at your insides and take pictures. Not fun).

So I'm out cold on the table and they've got the tube halfway into my stomach (or so they told me afterward) and I vaguely remember coming out of it a little bit and literally thinking something along the lines of "What's going on? Whoa! This shouldn't be here!" and starting to gag on the tube.

This is the best part and I don't even remember doing it, but the doctor told me that after I started gagging ont the tube, I'd actually sat bolt upright and yanked it all the way out through my mouth! Apparently, I put up quite a fight too so it took two nurses and the doctor to wrestle me back down and put me under again. I bet they hope I never come back. laugh.gif

Last week I was at work and a colleague of mine asked me if I could pump up some soccerballs with an aircompressor. Now I got one with a meter on it and they send me to the ski and snowboarding department. They've got a workshop there where they wax boards and skis and also another aircompressor. All I had to do was the replace the heads of the hose. That didn' work so I figured I just use the other aircompressor that was already installed. But that was one without a meter on it. Anyway I pump up some soccerballs and that worked. Some of them balls where the same design, same drawings and colours etc. One of them was pumped up pretty good but the other one wasn't, so I figured I'll pump it up some more. Than I think, I got a little distracted I just kept pumping and all of sudden *BANG*. I litterally blew up the ball. I stumbled backwards and I felt the impact of the explosion on my stomach. Strange enough nobody came to see what happened. The workshop is set next to the children's department with a door in between of course. The door was closed, but I think the sound of the bang got lost in the sound of the aircompressor because it was roaring on the moment it exploded. Later I went to confess what happened: 'Euhm... I just a blew up a ball!' response: 'And how did you do that?' Well at least she wasn't angry about it. 'It's alright, you're forgiven.' The way she said that was kinda sweet. The way it exploded reminded on how Mac was crawling from underneath the car in Harry's Will telling Cody to release the aircompressor. biggrin.gif

here's another great one. laugh.gif

I got married last year and we were supposed to have the reception in my back yard, but it was raining so we had to move inside. Well, the building we'd scheduled as a backup plan about 7 or 8 miles up the canyon. The ceremony was earlier that morning and the reception was in the evening so we had some casual chill-time at my house before we went up the canyon for the reception at 6:30.

At about 6:15, when I went to change back into my dress, I realized half of it was still sitting at home. Needless to say, I panicked and we sent my sister driving down the canyon doing about 70 mph to go get the rest of my dress.

Meanwhile, guests started arriving and I'm standing there in jeans and a t-shirt holding a boquet, my hubby's in a fancy tux and my dad's running around playing paparazzi and taking pictures! It was hilarious!

My sister made it back and saved the day and the rest of the reception went on without any hitches biggrin.gif

The End

(I have a pictures, but I have no idea how to make them small enough to fit in the post)

Embarrising moments...hmm so many to choose from.

Well here's one from my college days. Friends and I skipped classes and headed out for a bit of adventure on a beautiful fall day- hiking and waterfalls. We explored a couple of caves at the base of one waterfall and then me and one of the guys decided to climb the rock wall alongside the waterfall to return to the top. Never did it cross my mind that it was a 120 foot tall rock wall (crumbling in spots) or that one of us (namely me) would get stuck about 20 feet from the top. Someone called for a rescue unit and of course the state police made me stay put until someone rappelled down to help me up. Needless to say, the resuce made the papers, my roommate (also a friend from high school) mentioned it to her parents who in turn told my parents, and I received a call from mom & dad. Thank God there was 500 miles between me and them... so much for quietly skipping class.

College was never a dull moment for an engineering school full of geeks who liked adventure.

Back when I was around 8, my mom and I went to Texas, where my sister was graduating from Boot Camp. At one point, we went to a mall, and I had eaten a Ring Pop, and wandered off to find a bathroom to rinse off my fingers. Of course, I had no idea where I was going, and had the brilliant (note my sarcasm) idea to follow a couple of random men into what I figured was the bathroom. It took me way too long to figure out that I had just wandered into the Men's room. idiot.png Of course, the bathroom was full, and I had to ignore all the guys staring at me as I rinsed off my fingers, and tried to leave.

THE STUPID HALLWAY OUTSIDE THE DOOR WAS CROWDED TOO! headbutt.gif A couple of young ladies saw me and laughed about it. (Yes, I'm sure they were laughing at me, because I heard one of them go, "That's the boys' room!" a little too loudly). I hid behind the doorway wall for a minute, before accepting that it was too late to not be noticed. The girls stopped laughing, and I think they looked a bit sympathetic. I tried to make my way back to where my mom and sister were, but got stopped by a much older woman, who asked (in a very sympathetic tone) if she could help me find the ladies' room. I really just wanted to leave, but I said sure. She pointed me in the right direction, and I managed to croak out a "Thank you," before I hastily retreated back to where my mom and sister were. doh.gif

So, that kinda sucked... laugh.gif

I've done that... XD

Except I was a teenager. We were on vacation at Disney World. They have this western dinner show called the Hoop Dee Doo, which it's a tradition to see it anytime we went there. It was because it was all you can eat and drink... and this includes alcohol.

So after the show, it was probably close to 9PM, I accidentally followed my father into a crowded men's bathroom. Thankfully, most of those men were drunk, so I don't think anyone noticed. I quickly slipped out and found the right bathroom. My mother got a good laugh about it and said: Yeah, I was going to tell you, but I figured I'd let you figure it out for yourself.

Lucky you. At least no one noticed. I've walked into the men's room other times, but got lucky 'cause no one noticed. But that one time... I'll never forget it. laugh.gif
