Oh yes! roller.gif

It's "Joghurt" (yoghurt? yogurt? how do you write that in English? *blush*) for lunch. Some more chocolate Easter Eggs for dessert happy.gif .

And whatever my dad is cooking tonight for dinner.

Definitely not the healthier option... But this is what I ate. biggrin.gif

Looks like this.

Good Thing there's no McDonalds near where I live...

Interestingly, even part-time working at McDonalds for 6 years while I was studying at University did not put me off their Food... (well, it was the costs of their menus in Switzerland while paying only minimum wage laugh.gif).

For breakfast I had yogurt, and afterwards I had some oreos as a snack. In about 10 minutes, I'm going to get something tasty from the school canteen, perhaps something hot like a pie because it's really cold and rainy today!

Posted by: denizen 25 April 2017 - 08:29 PM
That's great SuspiciousMeerkat biggrin.gif

Today i have an interesting roasted butternut & feta cheese salad.

Looks tasty! I'd like to try something like that one day!

I ended up getting a Sheppard's pie and a hot chocolate for my lunch, they really helped warm me up!

That was last nights treat and oh boy, was it good! biggrin.gif Grilled hake with spinach and potatoes.

Posted by: Jediferret 7 June 2017 - 07:11 AM
Ya think it's big enough? XD

Posted by: DashboardOnFire 7 June 2017 - 01:53 PM
should be enough for the next few hours, I guess? biggrin.gif

Posted by: Jediferret 7 June 2017 - 07:22 PM
LOL! I can very easily drink a couple of those daily. Though one large coffee is enough... after two of those, you'd be peeling me off the ceiling with a shovel. That particular coffee didn't last an hour... it was a wee bit chilly in the AM. lol

Posted by: denizen 7 June 2017 - 08:01 PM
biggrin.gif You're funny Jedi!

Posted by: denizen 11 June 2017 - 08:51 PM
Well, not so much of what im eating although....

I did have BBQ ribs yesterday for lunch! whistle.gif

I have however been trying to avoid dairy like the plague as it has so many negative side effects brought on me. dry.gif

Including major sinus problems.

So my new fan favorite is this:
Lemon, Ginger and Honey Tea.

I love peanut butter and jelly as well as Nutella 😀

Posted by: Jediferret 21 July 2017 - 05:05 AM
I love Nutella! I ate it constantly when I first moved into my apartment. XD It's great with peanut butter too! I sometimes drizzle melted peanut butter and Nutella over vanilla ice cream.

I hope your chicken wraps were good denizen! They sure look good!

My breakfast! Maple flavored sausage (eggs were not made yet) and 8 O'Clock Dark Italian Roast coffee. biggrin.gif This is such a rare occurrence, I had to film it as proof... lol

Posted by: Barry Rowland 21 July 2017 - 11:29 PM

I have to really concentrate when I'm cooking; I couldn't take pictures of it, let alone filming the process out of fear I'll burn the kitchen down laugh.gif

Posted by: Jediferret 22 July 2017 - 02:18 PM
More than welcome to come on over Barry! Got plenty of coffee... like tons of it! XD

The sausage was almost done, just needed a couple more minutes actually. My biggest worry with foods like that is being under cooked. I have a bad habit of taking it off the stove top and its not cooked all the way through. Great way to make yourself sick... XD

So far I haven't started any fires, though I set off my smoke alarm once while making pancakes. lol Dad thought it was funny and the ongoing gag is that I use my smoke alarm as a cooking timer.

Made my infamous pasta salad for the church potluck tonight. We're having sliders! My previous co-workers used to rave about my pasta salad, but it's been about four years since I've made it. Too much for one person. lol

I donated blood today and now I'm eating A LOT. Mostly chocolate laugh.gif

Posted by: Barry Rowland 23 August 2017 - 06:30 PM
For Swiss chocolate I'd donate gallons!! Way to go Dash!!

Not sure how many gallons of blood there are in a single person laugh.gif

I'm the only one in my family who donates blood. My then-boyfriend's sister urged me into it when I was 20 or so (she's a nurse).

You don't get money for it in Switzerland. But you get something to drink, a sandwich and chocolate afterwards tongue.gif

Posted by: Barry Rowland 26 August 2017 - 05:23 PM
I can't think of anything better Dash! The Red Cross here does the same thing. Some of the food is outstanding. I like to think Mac would donate too.

I had steak and mashed potatoes today. It's funny, because when I was recovering from food poisoning, I started getting this intense craving for strawberries, even though they're out of season. So I've been eating a lot, lately. I went to buy more, and came home with the steak, too. laugh.gif Turned out to be really good meat, though! Might be the best steak I've eaten.

Maybe some recipes and explaining the way to cook might be interesting.

Anyway ever since I left home I lived for nearly five years on microwave food. I never felt like cooking after I came home at 8 o' clock in the evening after a 12 hour working day. It wasn't until I moved to the city, the loss of a job and a decent stove that got me to cooking. Now I cook regularly but not every day/week. I actually prefer to do it on Sunday evening for several days and that is if I got any ideas for cooking. In the last three weeks I made several dishes that lasted nearly a week. Maybe an entire week is a bit too much for eating the same thing, but like I said, I only cook if I have some inspiration. I should just simply make a list of recipes, preferably from grandmothers kitchen, that I can make but I don't intend to have a meatloaf day or something.

That's a good idea, MG.

I pretty much eat the same thing for days on end. Not much variety from my end. blush.gif

Posted by: denizen 12 February 2018 - 08:23 PM
Not a bad idea, MG.

Well I am going to start with something simple.

Anybody like oats? How do you prepare your oats? I usually have 2 added spies i use which i feel are a match made in heaven.

When prepping your oats, add cinnamon & cayenne pepper for added flavor. (For some reason they see to compliment each other). Naturally only add as much as you can handle. biggrin.gif

Got to try a lamb roast yesterday. Guess I can cross lamb off of my food bucket list now.

I still want to try rabbit and duck though, lol.

So here goes my 2 week challenge! biggrin.gif

Thanks Dragondog. So far so good. If you feel inside that its a restriction, you will always "Feel the pain" but it isn't much of a deterrence. Just about making the right choices.

Sushi is only good in moderation as the rice is fattening. And most sushi comprises of rice.

Posted by: Jediferret 1 August 2018 - 03:51 AM
I haven't had good sushi since I left Virginia. We had an awesome, but expensive, Japanese Hibachi Restaurant called Sakura. We ate there about once a year, but their sushi was so good, you'd get cravings for it.

I did make the mistake of eating at Long John Silvers the other day. I get cravings for it sometimes, but everytime I eat there... I'm disappointed and have regrets. Plus it doesn't make me feel good either. I think it's all the grease. =P

Good luck denizen! Once my pay raise takes effect, I'm gonna be doing the same thing. I seriously need to change my diet.

Edit: Getting old sucks...... dry.gif
