During the filming of MacGyver, at least a couple of Jeeps were used along with multiple different license plates. Has anyone researched the episodes to see which plate was used in which episode? I started with 1RJQ104, and I’ve spotted it in The Negotiator and East Target. Most of the shots of the plates are unclear.

In general, the 1BND849 was used in season 2 and then switched to 1RJQ104 for seasons 3-7.

We also see 2OCE485 in some scenes of 'Soft Touch'.

Not yet, as I haven't found my Jeep yet. My plan is to paint my future Jeep to look like Mac's, have personalized plates for every day driving join a movie _ TV car club, and have replica California license plates made to put on the vehicle at shows / conventions.

In the episode "Soft Touch", there are two different license plates on Mac's Jeep, at the same time.

The 1RJQ104 plate is considered the official plate number and is even shown on the official toy jeep.

Thanks! we are getting close to finish the replica. Correct seats, Correct tires, correct side mirrors, correct fog light, correct steering wheel. There are a few thing here and there that need to be changed, the winch is missing and add a dirty flat look to it and we should be pretty close to a perfect replica of the season 2 Mac Jeep.
