The 20 in the top corner refers to Image comics 20 years. The company was formed in 1992.

Looks cool! I've never been a comic book fan, but I'd be willing to spend some money for this.

We've got a MacGyver fan writing it who has wanted to write a MacGyver comic for years, we have a MacGyver fan doing the art, we've got the original MacGyverism guy lending ideas and it's all signed off and approved by the creator of the show. It's a perfect storm.

In my mind they would have to try really hard to not make this great.

I pray you're right. As a weekly comic book buyer I can atest that there have been VERY few comic book adaptations that live up or even try to capture the spirit of the source material(tv/movies). Both Stargate(had no connection to the mytholigy/characters) and Highlander (conflicted with estabished stories mytholigy)comics were horrible. The last great tv adaption was the Quantum Leaps comic. It seems all of the licenced TV/Movie comics only last a story arc or 2 before it just dies. I'd love an ongoing MacGyver book ala Buffy the Vampire Slayer. No it's a re-imaging. Meaning it's the MacGyver of (probably the first 2-3 seasons) but set in today's world and modernized to suit. So there will be subtle differences, but it will still definitely be MacGyver. And it sounds like there is some awesome MacGyverisms coming too! Thanks to the original MacGyverism man John Potter.
