In an attempt to find the main players in the Codex and cut off their match-fixing funding, Desi goes undercover to infiltrate a soccer team and find the corrupt player working with the shadow organization.
Ok? Shocked isn’t the word to describe what just happened.
So I’m enjoying my favourite show with my mom as we watch our favourite show MacGyver together, and it’s one of those great episodes. You know the ones, those quite intense episodes, edge of your seat, race against time missions.
Oh did I mention, we were enjoy a Domino’s, Anyways ...all of a sudden it gets near the end and there is this moment...
We are eating and enjoy pizza 🍕 Suddenly my mom takes ill, making a choking sound, she had (nearly) swallowed her false teeth. I rushed to her aid of course, and attended to her every need, and manage to save her from instant death. But believe me when I say that the moment, wasn’t in anyway dramatic or as highly entertaining as MacGyver was last night. It was incredible wasn’t it? I mean...
Oops...(I slightly digressed there, apologies).
Anyways... As my mom and I get over the shock, I asked her what happened. She said... that plot twist at the end, at the end of MacGyver. Did you not see the cliffhanger? I said, see it? how could I see it? your were choking?
She said... Son, this isn’t a time to be Joking. Matty’s in serious trouble. 🙄
True story! (Except the part, my mom doesn’t really have false teeth)

Favorite episode so far this season. As Lucas stated, the writing was solid. A cohesive plot with many threads and great acting. Loved the Merchant; great job. Would love to see him come back, though with that gun in his back, it doesn't seem likely.
As far as the ending, two things: #1 the KISS. There were some comments between the two of them leading up to this. Mac telling her how she talks in her sleep, their lucky number, how she never stopped trusting him. There are obviously some residual feelings on both sides. Will it last? When Russ said maybe that will stop the bickering, Bozer said no way, buckle your belts Maybe they have a Liz Taylor/Richard Burton type of thing; can't live together, can't live apart. It could just have been the tension of the moment; after all, Mac did save her life and the pressure was on. We'll have to wait and see.
Riley's face at the end: she has feelings for Mac she's never expressed, maybe she didn't even realize until they were trying to stop the bomb from going off. She's been living with Aubrey though, so the web gets more complicated. I can't wait for episode 7, Mac + Desi + Riley + Aubrey. If they are on a double date, that should be fun!
#2 Matty as Titan. We already know who the head of Codex is (when Mac finds out, his life is going to get even more messy). I want to know how Codex pulled that off and how Matty gets out of it. There must be people at the Phoenix who saw her while the mission was going on in Milan. You just don't teleport to Europe from LA
I also liked the bits of humor. Loved how Russ asked Mac, how do you always manage to find rope? As he says, what the universe wants, the universe wants Also, Russ correcting Mac: it's paparazzo singular. Usually Mac is the one who does the correcting.
I also love Mac and Riley pretending to be married. When he said solar winds excite me, and she said, that's why I married you. So cute. I do hope they realize their true feelings in the not too distant future. It does add to the tension though and keeps you wondering.
And I always love Mac in a tux. The whole team looked GOOD.
All in all, a great episode. Sorry for the MacRiley shippers, but as they say, it ain't over til the fat lady sings

The merchant has a bit of a Murdoc quality, no? Only he actually likes animals, contrary to the rebooted Murdoc.
I liked the episode. Didn't need the MacDesi kiss, though
Generally, I'm not a fan of romances within the main cast team in TV shows - mainly because they often turn it into a love-drama or a love-triangle. It's what ruined Scorpion for me, for example. Not many shows get it right (e.g. one exeption was "Bones" in my opinion). If they have MacRiley as endgame and keep continuing it, that's fine for me. But Id'rather have them not together than either a love-triangle or both of them serial-dating with other people through the rest of the series only to end up together in the end anyway.
Considering the title of Episode 4x07, this must be the double-date-episode Lucas talked about. Based on BtS photos of the rest of the season, I can't really say though what's going to happen romance-wise. There are a few actors with several guest appearances, so it's very well possible that one of the main characters will have another love interest for a while.

Who is the head of codex?
I kind of don’t want it to be Matty
Pretty sure it's going to be Jeri Ryan's character, Gwendolyn Hayes...Mac's maternal aunt that he apparently doesn't know about.

Had they gone the "Bones" (or "Castle" for that matter) way with it, it could work, instead it appears, if your serial-dating suggestion is on target, they may choose to do more of a "How I Met Your Mother?" Ugh...
I mean OG Mac had a lot of ladies in his life, but at least they were almost unanimously one-and-done characters.

I don't know about this one. This one seemed the least interesting one to me so far. Also I'm getting more and more confused with all these weird aliasses and code names: Codex, Merchant, Titan and whatnot. Maybe not that confusing on Merchant because it was just a guy but you know what I mean. The whole soccer story was not that great but that part in the casino brought back memories from The Heist. Love the impro hangglider scene but despite that interesting twist at the end this episode was mediocre at best. Now I wonder, were they pulling the evil twin card again?
Also I got lot of Chyna vibes from Kristina and I sure hope we see her again. For those who don't know who Chyna is, she was a woman wrestler back in the good old days of WWE when it still was WWF. She mostly played the role of an enforcer. Big, strong, muscular and mostly beating up men.

Not even close.
I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver. Sometimes you just have to die a little inside to be reborn and rise again as a stronger and wiser version of you. It's better to be a little sad than to be fake content.
