| Richard Dean Anderson, known for MacGyver and Stargate SG-1, is reported to have a new recurring role on the USA Network series Facing Kate, where he will play David Smith, the secretive man in the life of litigator Kate Reed, played by Sarah Shahi. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show centers on Kate, a divorced lawyer who leaves her job to become a mediator after realizing that "truth and justice are not always being found in the court room."
