MacGyver Online Forums > DVD & Bluray > Which MacGyver Collection Do You Own?

All on DVD at this stage, but there are 3 ways to get your MacGyver fix at home (Aside from reruns, internet TV etc)

Question is, do you own the complete series yet? If so, which collection do you have?

I'm horrible, but I still don't own it. lol I have Netflix and Amazon Prime, which has the entire series on stream. Prime has Stargate as well... mwahahaha!!!

I'll own the series on DVD one of these days. >_<

I recently purchased the MacGyver Complete Series Set on Takealot.com. Not happy with the sleeves the disks came in... dry.gif

A fellow South African, Macgyver1985 biggrin.gif.

Its great to have you join us. smile.gif

Takealot can be quite expensive. I mostly import my stuff. Works out a lot cheaper that way.

That is the main problem of the Complete Series edition. People were unhappy with the sleeves the disks come in.

They improved on this in the Complete Collection Edition. Naturally you don't have that problem either if you purchase the individual seasons.

Yeah I don't think I've heard of anyone who liked that Complete Series set.

The new one is much nicer, just a pity the discs are all gray instead of the color pictures etc on the original ones.

I have them all seperate. The later seasons are really naff quality picture on our big tv, though. Are all the sets the same? Very "fuzzy" even for 80's stuff. My Knight Rider discs are nowhere near as bad.

That is due to the lack of re-mastering from Paramount's side.

Unfortunately all the releases are the same.

Knight Rider was remastered I think.

Quite a few of the old shows have been remastered before going onto DVD, but CBS don't seem to think MacGyver is worth that sort of effort.

..... boo! That's why I dread them ending (up) in the ubiquitous studio
cave/mine/dungeon set. Way too dark, almost like listening to a radio
broadcast.

I think I probably watched a few of the DVDs way back when, but I've pretty much always streamed them as well - It will be weird putting in the blu rays for HD! w00t.gif
