Hi folks,

I just watched 'The Battle of Tommy Giordano,' and I noticed that Mac picks a lock with his Spartan's tweezers. As far as I can remember, this is the only time he used them for a MacGyverism.

I've found myself using the tweezers for pedestrian things such as untying knots in fine thread or box chains, or getting splinters out, or pulling stray/frayed threads away from my clothes so I can cut them with the scissors or knife.

I imagine that the tweezers could be quite useful... to bridge electrical terminals, as a tiny flathead screwdriver, to replace the pin on a grenade, and to manipulate small mechanisms... like when I fixed my mechanical pocket watch! macsak.gif

Mine get used most often for picking up small watch screws, usually when replacing batteries etc. They're great for putting those tiny screws back in their holes.

I have used mine to pick locks, fix my glasses, pick up tiny beads, get things out that fell into the vents in my van, and on other "my-MacGyverisms". macsak.gif

that reminds me of a number of years ago; I used my tweezers to pick the lock on my locker cupboard at work. It took me a while, but I eventually got it open.

I used them the second time I locked myself out of the house because the first time my hubby yelled at me for breaking the porch light. macsak.gif
