For what show did you do that?

A show called "Thuis". But they don't call anymore. Too bad, it was 20 € each time. Not much but still something.

Harrison Ford

And MG, just an FYI, if you want to spend time with older women, its a very good idea to not refer to them as like really old 40 or something.

I didn't say she's really old. I said she's like 40 and meant that as a positive thing.

Aw Sheeps, you look cute in that picture! Now why were you afraid to show it on here? Crazy sheep! laugh.gif And don't mind about the menswear- it's supposed to be hot! For some reason men love women in their clothes, like when you put on your boyfriends oxford with his tie for a belt, and men just freak out. wearing menswear is a good thing.

I am so jealous that you hung out with this guy!!!He looks like Josh Holloway from Lost! notworthy.gif Sounds like so much fun!

Oh yeah I love Peter Jackson! biggrin.gif But I liked him when he was chubby.

Old Fan I am so with you on Gary Sinise. Wasn't he in something called "Of Mouse and Men"? I can think of the movie, just not the title. Yes. intense and attractive.

I forgot to say Viggo Mortensen earlier! I don't know how I could do such a thing.

I'm not sure if he's technically a "star"...but can I say Russian president Vladimir Putin?

Kevin Sorbo is American not Kiwi.

Xena and LOTR where two of the few productions where the Kiwis where allowed to talk in their native accent.

Usually once you hit Hollywood you need to acquire an American accent pretty quickly.

Rock what actors in LOTR were speaking in a New Zealand accent? (I'm not being a smart mouth, I just never noticed before and I really want to know...)

This brings to mind an excellent movie I just saw called "Whale Rider" that starred Maori actors and was filmed in NZ. (I think!) Are you familiar? I loved this movie and in fact should add this to my favorites list under "telly"...

Actually to be honest I don't know if the actors did use a Kiwi accent or not.

I don't even know who the actors are in the movie.

Well actually Xena is American English as well. I once saw Lucy Lawless on a news report about Kevin Smith's death and she talked way differently than on the show.

None actually, I think you'll find more of the Old British accents, if you listen to the way how Merry and Pippin talked. Pippin had a very heavy accent that on some point sounded Irish to me. I think most of them were American. Don't know if Viggo Mortensen is American or not but I think so.

Don't know about Braindead if that's entirely New-Zealandish spoken but Jackson's last four movies the LOTR-series and King Kong are actually American-English. Depends on the actor I guess.

QUOTE

You should be ashamed, Rock. That stuff's better than Star Wars.
The Return of the King is the biggest movie I've ever seen and only King Kong was able to try and overtop The Return of the King. It almost succeeded and I dare any other director to overtop The Return of the King.

It's more the story than the movie... I just don't get, like or understand it.

I can't figure out how the hobbits and trolls etc can all be human sized in relation to trees, horses etc.. is Middle earth a world of half size or something? thats the one thing which really struck me int he movie. they all look human.. it was like watching a bunch of dungeons and dragons geeks.

I think basically I'm just not into mystical fantasy... give me sci-fi or cyber-punk any day.

QUOTE (MacGyverGod)

I think your probably right. I just did a quick search on IMDb.. the only Kiwi I could spot was Marton Csokas.

I think most Kiwis would have been extras and non-speaking parts, which leads back to my original comment being a load of old poo poos. laugh.gif

They explain everything on the extra's. On how they made the Hobbits look so small. Gandalf is a wizard, a Human. Hobbits are just midgets. When Gandalf and Frodo are talking in the Hobbits village in one of the first scenes. Gandalf is smoking a pipe or something while Frodo is standing actually behind Gandalf and still is standing next to him, so that Gandalf would seem very tall. I think it also has to do something with the lens they're using on the camera.

Theres a serious flaw in the movie if you have to watch the extras DVD to have the story explained to you.

They explained the filming and the way things were done on the set. Educational. For me at least. The story is simple: Tolkien created his own world, with each land their own inhabitants and languages and mysteries and histories. You try to do that.

At least he apologized for it. Some stars don't even have the guts to do that.
I like bad-bum guys.

My star turn off was that bloke who yelled at his daughter like a mad man. Still wondering how that phone call made it to the media.

Alec Baldwin? It was a message he left on the daughters answer phone.. so her mother (Kim Bansinger) forward it onto the media.

I think if your that much of a self centered ego centric jerk, you deserve to be publicly shamed. ranting2.gif

Call it my biggest flaw, but I'm always drawn towards jerks.
I've only dated jerks.

For some reason "normal" guys don't appeal to me.

Still, I'd rather be thrown at with a cell than cheated on behind my back (with my best friend or so)

Oh yesh, this Victor Reinier dude, he's married and has two kids, still he has a mistress here... He's originally from Amsterdam, so 200 km's down south and he has a chicky on the side. (And I'm NOT her, btw!!)
