How did wing lee know where macs houseboat/home was to tell him about may jens kidnapping? he just met him an hour earlier and it was little more than an introductiion.

wjen mac and may jen are using the vice grip to try to open the door, mac says " the pipes not gonna reach" so he goes to find a board to elongate the pipe. since he and may jen moved the table to its current position from across the room why wouldnt mac just move the table closer to the door if the pipe didnt reach?

The table would have less resistance than the door so it would just slide backwards as the force was applied. It needed to be hard against the wall so all the force was pushing against the door.

Maybe I missed something but when May Jen first met Wing Lee in the park he didn't seem to know about the tape he just referred to it as "you have something else for me" ( in addition to the fax numbers) or similar yet at the second meeting he asked directly for the tape. Since May Jen was the only one to know about the tape up to this point (apart from Mac and Pete) how did Wing Lee know there was a tape all of a sudden?

I've always had an issue with the amount of cable Pete unspools before he ties it to the bumper of the van. The incline of the cable is too steep for Macs zip line idea to work in real life. I know we're suppose to suspend dis-belief, I just wish Pete had unspooled less cable, thus allowing the van to pull farther away, making the incline less steep and the stunt a little more believable.

Less cable? Wouldn't that mean he would have less cable to use and therefore the van wound't have been able to move as far away and result in a steeper slope?

The point I was making, was that if Pete had "unspooled less cable" from the pile of cable Mac threw down to him and tied the cable around the bumper closer to the end of the cable rather than unspooling as much as he did, the van would have been able to pull farther down the street, thereby making the incline of the "zip line" more gradual.

Russell Jung who plays Yang just watched this episode on METV and left a comment on my blog about a goof. At the 9:27 mark he gets out of the car and is wearing a suit, but later when he's taking pictures he's wearing something different.

Nice one!

It probably would have been less spectacular but with that much cable couldn't they just have climbed off the roof instead?

Then of course you have a choice: ziplining with Mac or climbing down?

Climbing down a rope is much slower than zip-lining when you have bad guys with guns and a surprisingly tall 4 story building to get off the roof of. I was surprised at how tall that building is when you look up at it from the street. They wouldn't have gotten very far before the bad guys arrived and pulled the rope back up. laugh.gif

Also free climbing down a rope requires good arm strength - especially the amount of time they would have to hold themselves.

This is what that building looks like today. It's a bit hard to grasp the height from photos, but I'd say the real higher would be that of a normal 5 story building due to the ground level being much higher than normal. You can kind of see if you compare it to the glass building on the left... You'll see more of building and area when https://www.macgyveronline.com/minimac/minimacs-adventure-begins/ gets there. wink.gif
