This episode was very good. I like those episodes where they are also travelling in big city, where we see other peoples in backround and also those extras and backround peoples to make it look real, like we had in last scene where Mac was yelling theres Bomb in truck.
Nikki is very good character, kind of different than other women actors in that series.
But season 3 is all in all my favourite happy.gif

I have trouble seeing Vancouver as a big metropolis such as LA. It just doesn't have that "BIG" feel to me on screen. It's more of a small town out in the woods kind of feel.

But yeah this is a great episode. It's funny that even back then the middle easterns were seen as terrorists.

Welcome to MacOnline, Walter and great to have you with us!

I think people as well as our lack of resources created us to go into a naïve shell. If someone was from the Middle East, they were conceived to be a possible threat to society.

I thought the episode was okay. I was always bothered by the formulaic 2 dimensional villains who felt they had to close all ties linking them to anything.

I loved the opening sequence in the grocery store and the little old lady! Was also interesting to see Mac sick (as opposed to beat up). Makes him all the more real even though he still manages to do what needs to be done to save the day. The scene where he's hanging upside down and the dog comes in....precious!! You can tell RDA really loves dogs (I think probably all animals) by the way he interacts with them on numerous episodes. I remember the one with the eagles where he was removing the arrow he was talking to the bird and said something like "Hang in there, baby," and it just seemed so natural. As for Nikki, I see a lot of me in her. I also see a lot of me and my best male friend in her and Mac. We enjoy driving each other nuts but also care deeply about each other. I'm the over-thinker, by-the-book one and he's the laid back, take things as they come type. I think it also has to do with the fact that Nikki and I are both brunettes. Nothing against you blonde ladies out there, but I just don't think Mac would really be attractive to the young, skinny, stereo-typical blondes he's sometimes seen with. I think he would want somebody more "earthy" and able to go toe-to-toe with him.

The opening scene for this episode is just gold - that old lady smacking Mac "way to go kid" is hilarious! roller.gif

Also Mac talking to Don Davis as the driver is a great scene, even with a ticking bomb he still doesn't interrupt laugh.gif

I agree they are a little all over the place when it comes to Nikki's character, but I liked them teaming up in the end. The part where Mac steps on the bomb though, I swear he is moving both his feet around when it shows the other camera angle and he is setting things up lol - I would have thought his one foot would have had to be frozen in place!
