Mac's jeep crushed that bottle driving over it so the splinters caused the flat tyre.
When Mac and Elaine drive inside the hangar for the first time, Mac rides over that board causing the Jeep falling into the ground. When you look good it seems like the ends of the board explode as if it was rigged by the crew causing the fall. The car however was fine.
