This is a track from the 64 game, The Last Ninja 2. The original track is playing and has a remix overlapping it but it works so well.

Very nice indeed. I see Jeremy Soule composed that. He is quite famous for lots of good scores including Morrowind & Baldur's Gate: Alliance. He's actually done loads of things.

Xena's battle theme. One of the best ever. Based on the Bulgarian folk song Kaval Sviri but with new lyrics and sung in Bulgarian.

That's a neat track. I'm ashamed to admit that I've never played Hitman. XD I had a friend visiting and while I was at work, he downloaded Hitman Absolution to my Xbox... it must have been free or something. I never gave it go, and I kept meaning to. lol

I've been listening to a lot of Celldweller lately. But I'm not sure if you guys would like his stuff. It's a bit harder than I normally post. But, he did the Scandroid songs I posted earlier. I've been quite addicted to him lately.

But, here's a less harsh song I found around the same time that's kinda cool.

The Escape From New York theme, played lived by John Carpenter himself. Somehow this reminded me of the Pilot episode where Mac removes the beam with the fire hose.

That's pretty good!

Its what happens when you hire Hollywood composer Harry Gregson-Williams to score the soundtrack to the game.

But the theme has always been the same for MGS.

The awkward thing about listening to this song was I was listening to it when all that hype about MDB's guest appearance in the reboot was circulating. Everyone was saying stuff like, "The worse Murdoc gets, the better I like him!" And the song's second line goes, "I'm bad behavior but I do it in the best way!"

I'm fond of this one. If you don't like music with screaming, this song may not be for you.

This song has less screaming. I remember it playing all the time when I was in elementary school, so it's a little vintage to me.

When I was skimming for videos for The Dog Island game, I came across soundtrack videos for it, and for Petz Dogz 2/Catz 2. While I think The Dog Island is superior in many ways, including the music, I really love this Petz song. It's possibly the only one that ties with my favorite Dog Island songs.

Forgive my Dog Island kick, but I found this, too. It's the opening song, sung both in English and Japanese, sung by a fan. She sings REALLY good! Better than I can, anyway.

We go into kicks. I get into various kicks at different times... penalty of having many interests. lol

Randomly found this on New Retro Wave and figured it was worth sharing. It's on an album called Heroes on Tape.

So if anyone's interested, here's a link to the rest of the soundtrack for The Dog Island. I don't know how interested anyone is, but I'm posting this just in case.

If any of you do decide to check it out, can you tell me what you think? I like the songs, and think they put a lot of talent into composing the background music, but I'm not sure how much of that is my childhood nostalgia. Most people I've read commenting on the YouTube videos of the soundtrack comment on the "childhood feels", so it'd be interesting to get the viewpoint of someone who's never played the game.

This one probably isn't included because it's very similar to the "Cave theme". Most people mistakenly think it's the same song, but if you listen to the "Cave theme", then listen to this one, you can tell they're different.



And this one, which isn't included for a reason I can't figure out. The song's not actually 30 minutes, it just plays on a loop for that long. It was the only one I could find.

So when skimming YouTube, I found this. I never owned or played this game, but the theme music is cute. I played the sequel, which, on the PC version, has the same theme music, but without the words. I didn't even know until today that there was a version with lyrics.
