John Sheppard is to me the best writer of the show. Nothing environmental, outdoors or the teen-stuff. This guy goes for the straight action-adventure stuff. OK, Penny was a pain in the butt in both episodes, a little overacting too and Cleo Rocks now seems far fetched despite a great showdown between Mac and Murdoc. And Jenny's Chance isn't exactly my favorite either. But all the others he worked solo on (with exception of Passages). Brainwashed, Halloween Knights, Lesson in Evil, Eye of Osiris, Strictly Business, Obsessed, The Stringer, Lost Treasure of Atlantis, they're usually one of the best episodes around.
Interesting also on what he says on Passages, that it got influenced by an episode that was set for a future season. It makes me wonder if he came up with Hakim for Eye of Osiris and decided to use him as well for Passages, since he disliked the characters Anthony Rich came up with.
QUOTE | I always wanted to have his Murdoc character team-up with Dr. Zito, just to watch him and Morgan Sheppard on the screen together. It would have been priceless. |
I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver. Sometimes you just have to die a little inside to be reborn and rise again as a stronger and wiser version of you. It's better to be a little sad than to be fake content.
