I haven't been here for years, but glad to see RocketMan (????) is still keeping this alive.

I just saw the promo for the rebooted MacGyver. The MacGyver is blonde, like RDA.

I was never an RDA fan I just liked MacGyver... (on the other hand, John DeLancie, who was in one of the MacGyver episodes, YOWZA!!!!)

Initially, I thought.... a "reboot" is never as good as the original......


But, after seeing the promo and looking through YouTube, I believe that this reboot has potential! I am just hoping it's not so high tech it's ridiculous.

One of my friends who was a MacGyver fan thinks that somehow they will put RDA in some "cameo" (but he will be some anonymous person) who makes some crack about MacGyver..... I think that would be cool if it happened....

Oh man, that means SOMEONE will have to start another MacGyverism list!!!!! I wrote the original list out from watching all the shows because no one else did.... (and someone added a couple that I missed....). Believe me; I'm not a scientist. I had to guess what some of it was called..... But I don't care about "credit" I just did it for the enjoyment of the fans...... I guess the new MacGyverisms will be so high tech; I won't have a clue as to how to write them out! I hope someone keeps track......

I'm pretty sure someone here will make an effort to do all that. It's a new show and a lot of new will need to be added.

Provided of course it lasts long enough to stand the test pf time.

I'm working on a new list which will have pictures of the MacGyverisms as well as the description. But it's a very slow process going through screen capturing them all so will be a while before it's ready.

I mocked this up to illustrate the type of thing I hope features in the new opening title sequence.

I have my fingers crossed that they use this - as an easter egg, and that special nod to the past.

I was never really an RDA fan, just liked the show. But now I find myself comparing RDA to Lucas Till. He appears younger than RDA was.....

Plus, the famous story about why Henry Winkler selected RDA, the thing about fishing glasses out to read the script..... Lucas Till doesn't look like the "fishing glasses out" kind of guy.

But I'm hoping this is good! Normally I hate the thought of "reboots." But I'm excited about this one!

I, too, would like to see the opening credits do a "nod to the previous....."

I like Till in the role from what I have seen but I am curious to see where it all goes from here...
