Those are darn near the whole episode lol
I noticed that CBS released a lot of Stills this season; also for e.g. H50 or Magnum. Not for every episode, though. Might have been a one-time-thing or an accident by the intern
That's always a sign you might be in trouble if your dashboard is on fire... Currently blogging about the MacGyver Reboot on Dashboard On Fire
The episode synopsis states an 18 month time jump, which seems very excessive to me so I am curious what the normal job are. Yes, it appears Mac is a a teacher and Bozer something to do with movies, but I am not sure what Riley or Desi have been doing.
One thing that concerned me is how the 18 month time time jump could impact the storylines such as with Mac's dad and Mason. Today, however, there was a post from TV Insider that indicated Mac/Desi are in a relationship. First, I am a fan of Mac/Riley, but I don't want Mac/Riley to get together anytime soon. I am enjoying their dynamic and the shared glances, etc. we get, but to have Mac/Desi go into a serious relationship as implied seems very far-fetched. Yes, they flirted last season but it was very forced, but now I am supposed to believe over the 18 months they developed into a serious relationship??
What bothers me the most is how when MacDesi were on screen last season, all other cast and dynamics changed. For example, Riley and Bozer were pushed out of the missions and any of the great dynamics shared by Mac/Riley were pretty much non-existent. What can we expect if they are a couple?
I know the show had a new showrunner, but it appeared Peter was still in charge since he did the editing and I can't imagine he would go against what many fans hoped wouldn't happen. I remember reading even those who didn't want MacRiley didn't want MacDesi either.
To me this is a serious risk to the show if some fans choose to tune out given this new development. All the behind the scenes such as Desi cooking for Mac, Mac and Desi hugging, etc. all point to a relationship.

Also, there are some new cast additions to make the team sharper than ever. First, Levy Tran, who plays Desi Nguyen, a fellow operative who has more than a little sexual chemistry with Mac, is a full-timer on the show now. Second, Henry Ian Cusick joins the cast as Russ Taylor, a wealthy ex-MI6 agent with a shady business background who takes an interest in MacGyver, who's now teaching a class of bored college students.
I don't think the article is implying that they are in relationship that only they a little more than sexual chemistry but that is just writers opinion and not an actual episode synopsis. Anyway I agree that there shouldn't be Desi/Mac since the whole flirting seemed forced and I hope the new showrunners don't go in that direction, the same with Riley and Mac . I also liked their relationship just fine the way it is for both relationships.
I also agree that its a serious risk that the showrunners are taking if they do decide to go on that direction.
