Photojournalist Kate Connelly first met MacGyver when he was sent to Central America by
Kates publisher, Arthur Prescott, who had become concerned for her safety while she
was working on a story to expose an illegal arms deal between the local military head of
secret police and a deported US criminal. Kate proved herself to be a good match with
MacGyver as they worked together to evaded the military police and make their escape out
of the country.
After returning home with her story and photos, Kate was promoted to Senior Editor and
shortly after meet NFL Titans line backer Mike Desmond, whom she went on to marry and have
a son (Mike Jr.) with.

I like her. She's another woman I would consider for MacGyver to have a relationship with, if she hadn't changed her mind and decided to marry the football player instead.

I really liked this character. I though she was a really good match with MacGyver. She was adventurous, resourceful, head strong, almost like a female MacGyver, but without the MacGyverisms.
I think of all the women to have passed through MacGyver's universe, Kate Connelly was certain;y close to, if not on, the top of the pile.
She wasn't scared to get her hands dirty or to fight for what she wanted. I think it's a pity this character couldn't have made a few more appearances.

yeah, thats a good point actually.
There where times when she seemed a little too stubborn for her own good.
Uh, don't forget Mac's pretty stubborn too.
I like Kate. I like her strength, stubborness and her commitment to her story eevn in the face of possibly being arrested or killed. I also like her concern for her friend when he is killed--her reaction is very touching. Her reaction to the lizard is priceless. My favorite Kate Connelly moment is when she slugs the bad guy with her lucky camera. And Mac yells with glee, "Alright Connelly!" and later how she fixes her camera "MacGyver style". I like how when we see her in Friends she is still keeping Mac a little off guard--his reaction to her pregnancy and marriage--very funny, and a little awkward.

I voted excellent. Kate's one of the few female characters in the show that I really enjoyed. I agree with Rock...she was pretty much the top of the pile and would have made an excellent match for Mac...tons better than Maria!

I loved Kate Connelly also. She was a good match for MacGyver. The look on Mac's face in Friends when she turned around and he realised she was VERY pregnant was priceless

Of all the women who came and went on the show, I think she was the best match for MacGyver. The only downside I can think of is that perhaps they had too much in common.

Now here was a character that was really good. I always felt they deserved a second adventure together and was a little gutted that they wrote the character out so quickly with her meeting the man of her dreams and being pregnant.
Although this was humorous, they should have made another episode which put them into another daring rescue,
On another note, I always liked Robin Curtis' roles including her obvious appearances in Star Trek.

Out of all the women introduced throughout the show I think Kate was the best match for MacGyver. She shared his spirit of adventure and just really seemed like a female version if him, albeit without the ingenuity.
She was probably the best looking of them all too.

She was indeed a very strong character but sorry guys she definitely wasn't the best looking one !!!
Could've been worse, ya know.
I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver. Sometimes you just have to die a little inside to be reborn and rise again as a stronger and wiser version of you. It's better to be a little sad than to be fake content.
