Another time nitpick. The episode spans two days. At the beginning, Mac, Pete and Gwen are testing ERMA in a miniature tank at the Phoenix lab, there's the night scene at Gwen's appartment. The next day ERMA gets stolen by Gwen's boyfriend.
What I think is odd is that when ERMA is stolen, there's an article on Dexter being arrested for his crimes which happened when? And Mac undercover as Dexter happens to walk in that jail on the same day?
But why go through all that trouble to arrange a phony article on an arrest of a guy that doesn't even exist and who happens to walk in the jail where Banniker is held on the day the ERMA has been stolen?
Doesn't make much sense. ERMA is stolen before everyone else arrives, the thief goes to jail, Mac reminds Pete of Dexter and appears later that day in jail. The thief who seems to be reading a newspaper and recognizes Dexter from an article which was made when? This was either an old newspaper or either a very late delivery of the edition that day.
They all seemed very eager to get ERMA back so it's also hard to believe they would lose time on arranging an article for the next day's edition before sending Mac to jail.
I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver. Sometimes you just have to die a little inside to be reborn and rise again as a stronger and wiser version of you. It's better to be a little sad than to be fake content.
