Craig
Bannister Craig Bannister is a field operative for the DXS and good friend of MacGyver. Their first adventure together saw him sent in to provide backup to MacGyver when Pete became worried that a security leak within the DXS could compromise MacGyver’s assignment. Bannister worked closely with MacGyver and Pete to investigate the internal leak within the department, but it turned out that the leak was actually Bannister himself, being subliminally controlled by his wife, Ingrid, who turned out to be a G.R.U (Russian military intelligence) agent working under cover. Bannister was nearly killed when Ingrid was found out as she triggered a device which caused banister to have a heart attack. |
He and Mac had a lot in common, both were DXS field agents who liked the excitement and risk of field work. I wished they could have made him a recurring character. I wonder what happened to him after he was 'brainwashed' by his wife who was an undercover Russian GRU agent. It would have been cool to have Mac and Craig together in more episodes working jointly on missions together. It seems that a lot of former DXS agents followed Pete to the Phoenix Foundation after Pete left the DXS bringing Mac with him. Did Craig end up their as Mac did ? It would have been interesting to find out. 
Although, I thought it very ironic that this should come up on the "Craig Bannister" thread because I am currently writing about him in my fan fic for the very first time (He has a really small roll, though, but I guess that fits with the original series!)
