Booker Wilson
Michael D. Roberts

Founder of the Challengers Club, Booker studied to be a lawyer, but working on the principle that by the time a teenager needed a lawyer it was already too late, he decided to forgo a law practice and open a youth center where he could work with and help troubled teens before they needed a lawyer.

I liked him he was a good guy who died for the wrong reasons, it didn't have to end that way, his death made an inpack on MacGyvers life for sure, as well as his wifes and the so many people he helped.

Excellent. One of the most compelling minor characters the show ever had, and I love how his tragic demise did not stop the Challengers club from continuing or MacGyver from continuing to work with it.

His death was one of the hardest parts for me to watch as a kid. When I re-watched the episode as an adult, it was even more heartbreaking because I understood why and how unneccessary it was. Good character indeed.

MacG.gif He was a close friend who died for the wrong reasons. I was a Pre- teen in 1985 when the show first aired and on active duty when Mac ended in 1992. This character first made me aware of racial tensions not just in America but around the world. Booker was a man trying to help kids with troubled backgrounds regardless of race and was killed for believing in these kids. Mac was shaken by his death.

I was shocked at how sad MacGyver was when Booker died. I had not watched the hole episode just the part where Mac finds him and the part at the end. I have never seen MacGyver so mad too I was like "WOW!!!" And showed that part to my sister and she was like "WOW!!!" too. That was a truly sad episode. sad.gif

One thing to is that we didn't see what Mac saw... which was how Booker was killed. As sensitive and caring as Mac is, I wouldn't be surprised if he had nightmares for a while. He was obviously still in emotional shock when he standing outside with Cynthia.

Did you notice that Michael Roberts (Booker's actor) was in Season 7 as a bad guy? lol I always called him Booker's evil twin brother.
