I'd just put it here since it involves an ice hockey team and since Mac loves ice hockey. I won't put the article here because it's in Dutch. Maybe if anyone else heard something about it.
Apparently a plane crashed involving an ice hockey team where in a lot of team members from three times Russian champion Lokomotive Jaroslavl died.
They also wrote it's not the first time that a sports team dies in a plane crash. The examples they gave are mainly soccer teams I think.
AC Torino crashed on the 4th of May in 1949. Manchester United on the 6th of February in 1958. Suriname's soccer team on the 7th of June in 1989. And the National Team of Zambia on the 27th of April in 1993.
It's strange though they didn't mention the plane crash of the Urugayan rugby team that crashed on Friday the 13th of October in 1972.
The question however is: can a sports team survive such tragedies?
