Mei Jan A member of the Chinese student movement, Mei Jan arrived in the U.S. under the name of Sue Ling, MacGyver's Chinese "foster daughter”. She later revealed that the real Sue Ling had been killed at the Tiananmen Square uprising in 1989.   MacGyver helped her to complete her mission in the U.S. of handing over a video tape of the Tiananmen Square incident to be broadcast live on a national news show so the world could see what really happened.

She's a very strong character, and I'm glad she returns in the finale.

I liked Mei Jan right off. Too bad she had to revert to subterfuge to get Mac to help her. All in all though I thought she was a good character.

Loved Mei Jan. Children of Light is still one of my favorites. She was strong and intelligent, capable of great bravery and defiance, but also let down her guard emotionally a few times. All in all, I think she was one of the most well-rounded, well-played recurring characters the show had. I would really have liked to see more of her.

I liked Mei Jan pretty well. It was neat that after her appearance in "Children of Light" that she was brought back one more time for "The Stringer". She was a good strong character who was pretty smart and daring herself. It's kinda neat that MacGyver's "daughter" got to work with his son in the series finale.

She was pretty good. But I don't really consider her a main character, because she only appeared in a few episodes and I didn't like those episodes that much. She was in my opinion okay.

She's a very forgettable character. She was in two episodes, but there are characters who were only in one episode who left stronger impressions on me.
