They finally got the flying right!!

At last.. the cape flaps and the hair blows as he flies.. AND.. he moves at different speeds!

The one thing that really irked my in the Chris Reeves films was the flying... his cape always hung over him like a wet blanket and there was never any indication of speed.. the slow wide angled shots of him flying just didn't work.

But I think they got it right in this one.

I enjoyed the movie up until Superman goes back to his crystal palace looking for Lex. And the subsequent beat up that follows. I’ve never been a fan of the “lets show that the superhero can be defeated” story line. I prefer seeing my superheroes saving people and being superheroes.. not fighting for their own lives. I think that lowers them to normal mortal status.. After all anyone can be beaten up and killed.. Superheroes are supposed to be…well… SUPER.

Anyway in spite of that.. its still a movie that’ll get well played in this house.

The guy who plays Superman has an uncanny resemblance to Chris Reeves, right down to the way he moves in some scenes.

Got that! I saw this one at the movies and I didn't had the feeling the movie lasted 2,5 hours. Which I had with Casino Royal. This meaning the movie was smooth and fast going which I like. This movie is definitely on my dvd list along with the X-Men films and The Fast and Furious films.

It's still always nice when things toughens up. The hero's laying on the ground getting kicked around with the bad guys above him. And then on the most (un)predictable moment they fight back and wins. Nice picture though.

Saw it. Had some problems with some of the storyline choices and found some nit-pics, but thought overall it was really good. The FX where awesome, nearly flawless.

I give it three and a half stars. It's now a part of my collection.

I know! It seemed like I was in there for a much shorter time. The movie really did flow. I liked it alot, and also hope to get it (or buy it for myself) for Christmas. I do agree that he has an amazing resemblance to Christopher Reeve, I actually watched the original Superman movies a day or two before I went and saw the new one, and I was really impressed.

I just got it today

I wasn't planning on getting it so soon, but i'm not complaining! I went to the mall today with a few friends and my friend said that she would let us pick out our christmas presents then. And you're right! It was FANTASTIC!

Right now, we have "Superman: The Man of Steel" to look forward too. It's in way pre-production though. It's still being scripted, and not scheduled for release until.... 2009?!?!
