Intended to get to this earlier, but it'll be a late-night re-viewing again of this "kinda" bottle episode.
-Man, Mac sure has climbed out of one vehicle and jumped onto another on the freeway an awful lot in this series.
-Oh Mac. No. In fact, you're not gonna believe what it has in store for all of us.
-Haha! The insanity of wiping down and sterilizing packages received. I remember those days...not fondly.
-Heck, Mac, why not just use an owl?
-Was really hoping Bozer was gonna pull a Belushi on Mac's ukelele.
-Taylor certainly lucked out here with this situation, didn't he?
-Big Brother Matty doesn't spring for that extra bandwidth. That said, given the nature of their work, it's not very security-conscious to hop on the neighbor's Wi-Fi.
-Peep Show Bozer.
-Russ was having a lot of fun in quarantine. Note: Keep in mind what Sofia was talking about in her Zoom presentation.
-Forks do work fine for scrambling eggs, though even I've graduated to whisk ownership. C'mon, Taylor!
-"You haven't acted like my friend in a very long time." Sorry, he was just, uh, out saving the world.
-Having a moment...and Mac elects to go on a late-night jog.
-Of course this jog leads to MacGyver getting himself into a predicament! Love that.
-Bought a whisk. Smart man.
-Russ would have a secret room.
-The Krengel's knew Mac's grandparents. Probably why the grumpy old guy always grills Mac when he sees him. Just checking up on him. *points to head* Interesting to know Mac's grandparents lived in the same neighborhood he currently lives in...
-Anyone who can put up with you for 28 days is a saint...know that feeling...
-I love the fact that they adhere to the distancing protocols and that it was conveniently written into the script that the bad guys they'd have to take down would be in full-on body suits.
-As mentioned before, Sofia was lecturing on archaeology. I can't help but notice the parallels to Indiana Jones...although is she more Belloq/Elsa? It sounds like we will see more of her down the line. Also, how does Russ's "secret room" have such easy access?
-I need to start tracking this trope: What impossible task can Riley do in 10 keystrokes or less? This episode...starting a car.
-Big Brother Matty on wheels and her "you're under arrest" may be the cheesiest thing in this series yet.
-Good things are worth waiting for. True, Mac, true. But perhaps not in the way you're thinking.
-Riley is a little too eager to use that toilet paper.
-Deny all you want, Mac. Bozer's eyeroll speaks for a lot of people.
-Back 'round the fire pit. Feels right.
I have to admit, I was kind of dreading this episode. TV's kinda the last place I wanna deal with themes of current reality, you know? This though was actually a lot of fun. A decent amount of character development, and an adventure borne out of happenstance, not a Phoenix mission.
That said, even positing this as a flashback episode, the timeline for this season is an absolute mess.
