Hi everyone:
For some of you, it is already June the sixth. But living in Montreal, Canada , we are still at June the fifth, and I just realized that tomorrow it is the second anniversary of Dana Elcar's death. WOW !
And I was just looking at the information on this site. I see that Dana was actually his middle name.
I just wanted to share with you the information that it is two years, now, since his death. And I STILL think he was such an amazing guy. I always thought of him as someone special. I thought that Dana and Richard made such an excellent team of guys to work together and giving us this great t.v. show " MacGyver" . I miss Dana . And I wonder if anyone would know if Richard would have attended Dana's funeral. I guess so, huh ! Since it seems that they were so close as friends on the show.
Okay, anyway. I just wanted to say that. I always take the time out every June 6th to stop and remember the late , great Dana Elcar.
Sincerely,
Kate Mackay

This event is actually in the calender, but there seems to be a bug which stops it from showing on the front page every year.

Anyway...

yes RDA did go to Dana's Funeral.

He posted the below note on the rdanderson.com site. I can't link to it because of the stupid way its setup, but its under his notes section.

QUOTE (RDA on the rdanderson.com web site)
June 17, 2005

I drove up to Santa Paula for the service which was very sad, and yet, celebratory. He was truly a gentle man and good friend.

I was so sad when I heard of his passing.

He seemed like a great, caring guy.

I still miss him.

RIP Dana Elcar.

I really am surprised at how emotional I still get about Dana's passing and often think of him, however today the tears have flown free. Two years on and still wishing the news was a very bad joke. Always missed but never forgotten, such an influence for so many others. Long live his memory wink.gif
