The Rising...of the Phoenix Foundation? The Rising...of the Ark? The Rising...of the MacGyver (Just like Rise of the Tomb Raider)
Rising of the machines.
it's MacGyver code......
Murdoc was a terminator - THAT'S why he never died. Watch how he pushes those huge rocks away like they are toys in the cave scene in Strictly Business and tell me I'm wrong.

I love that episode, but I still laugh every time I see that scene. What were they thinking?
If I remember correctly, "Rising" was also the name of the pilot of "Stargate Atlantis". So all I hope for is that there are no aliens involved. Had enough of them in Indiana Jones (I still remember sitting dumbstruck in that seat at the cinema)...
That's always a sign you might be in trouble if your dashboard is on fire... Currently blogging about the MacGyver Reboot on Dashboard On Fire
Nope, I don't see it as being mean. It's fueling our interest. Don't expect too much or specific, on set, behind the scene pics - they will want to shield the audience away from any spoilers and protect their intellectual property. This is standard procedure
The Rising, I like it! Intriguing...
Now that they go into production from Friday, I am considering shielding my eyes from any spoilers / pics etc. Like the one above. It will be a hard, 3 months of sheer withdrawl symptoms... but a challenge all the same...But hopefully worth every minute once the show airs.
I feel social media can ruin the sense of anticipation and come between our experience and how you view something. I wish to view this series with the Freshest of Eyes, and without any pre-determined judgements and expectations.
It also makes it harder for the negative people, to spoil the anticipation and enjoyment of this new series, for me and others!
Yes, In Lenkov's short interview about reviving MacGyver, he spoke about starting from scratch, writing a new pilot and giving each of the character's a new origin story.
So I reckon, that first look promo...everything about it - is scrapped!
But make no mistake - they learnt a lot from these script drafts and filming that promo. Ultimately, this show will benefit hugely from each and everyone's efforts so far. So let's be thankful for all their hard work and contributions.

Today's the day. MacGyver returns to TV.
Of course not everyone will get the chance to see it (All in different countries with different air dates) but in today's digital world, its possible some might be able to see it depending on their connection (Netflix, CBS etc..)
If you're one of the lucky ones, hope you enjoy it!
"The bag's not for what I take, Colson - it's for what I find along the way."
I know this sounds stupid, but it was slightly surreal to look at the TV listings for tonight and see: "MacGyver (New): Mac must stop a bioweapon from falling into the wrong hands." The last time I saw "MacGyver (New)" listed in the TV listings was a long, long time ago!
