the writers always showed how much they love the character and the showrunner is half-Asian herself. I'd never thought they would kill Desi off; especially now with mentions of her having an ex-fiancé whose body was never found. in TV language that means he would suddenly have shown up next season.

That's always a sign you might be in trouble if your dashboard is on fire...
