After the crash the father and his daughter are planning on how to get another car back into the race. The father in the hospital says they can use the display engine which we are assuming in the engine that is on display in the main meeting room with the fountain. The next day you see macgyver putting in the new engine. Then it cuts to a scene with pete by the fountain finding the stone from vissors ring. In the background you see the phoenix foundation display along with the very same engine which was supposed to be put into the new car. How can the engine be in the new race car and on display at the same time?

Now technically I'm driving a stolen car following a kidnapping... and I didn't even get to have my first cup of coffee. (Mac)

Heres some more....

The engine they are seen putting into the camaro after the wreck appears to be a stock 5.7 chevy engine that would go into this car from the factory. This isn't a high tech plastic engine like they claimed. All the cars running the track have the exact same engine.

The master cylinder on the race car is a dual type master cylinder which basically means that there is two reservoirs. One for front and one for rear brakes. When O'Mally cuts the rear brake lines all that should really happen is the rear brakes stop working. Most cars are 75% front brakes and 25% rear. The driver although he should of noticed a lack in braking, he still should of been able to slow down for the corner enough to make it around instead of wrecking.

enlarging the photo of Omally cutting the brake lines should of made the photo pixalated, but when they show it, the picture is clear and bright.

Why weren't the race car doors welded shut?? I thought this was standard practice for all race cars but I could be wrong (Indy cars don't have doors!). Thanks for any responses!

I actually asked my Dad about the plastic engine concept a few years ago. He said it's not possible because engines produce too much heat for plastic. In order for it to work, it couldn't be 100% plastic... SOME parts could be plastic, but it would need something to buffer from the heat.

Also, on a side note, wouldn't heated plastic cause toxins? I know they say not to drink water from plastic bottles that have been sitting in the sun.

In which case, I'd think a plastic engine would just be a bad idea. lol

Sorry... sorta a nitpick? lol

I would say that this class of racing was more of a stock/modified type race. There is some types of races where the cars are more closer to stock or typical cars seen on roads. I also believe there wasn't any roll cages in the cars either which most nascar cars have to have.
