I bumped into De Barres' Twitter feed at some point last year, quite by accident -- he and his son were teasing each other over Twitter. It was quite funny and heartwarming. At one point they were yelling "MacGyverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!" at each other. The same feed had some links to contemporary photos -- it was more than a little surprising to see how he looks now!

RDA's Twitter is definitely genuine. I was at MTM when he Tweeted from stage.

Yeah, MDB sent a twitter to the MOL feed calling for all Murdoc fans to follow him. lol

That's the first I knew about him being on Twitter. He seems to have quite the sense of humor.. it's a bit like RDA's in a way.

When I was writing "Reverb", I would sometimes mentally imagine the two of them reading it out loud, as an audiobook. If my mental image of Des Barres was having fun with his lines, I figured I was doing it right. (My mental image of RDA sometimes got exasperated over this.)

I loved reading the interviews on Des Barres' website -- he obviously had a LOT of fun playing Murdoc.
