Today I volunteered at the Erie Air Fair, a small air show held in Erie, CO at the Tri-County Airport (a small, no control tower, general aviation airport). When I first arrived I saw a pilot taxiing his ultralight to the self serve fueling station. When I saw him take off I immediately thought of Mac's custom built ultralight during the opening gambit of "Legend of the Holy Rose". Ths picture's not clear, as the sun had just started to rise and the ultralight was a good distance away. This next picture reminded me of the different episodes where Mac used a hot air balloon. When I saw this plane, Mac's quote from "On a Wing and a Prayer"came to mind, "You're slip knot's not slipping". This one didn't make me think of MacGyver, I was just happy to get the shot as the helicopter flew by. This last photo shows me next to my new car. |

Does the owner know that the car is now yours? Those are some cool pictures. That helicopter reminded me of The Road Not Taken - looks like the one Pete has to get fixed to go back and pick up MacGyver. |

Very cool, Denizen. Hope you have a great time. I'll be volunteering at another air show on 08/22 - 08/23. I'll be helping marshal aircraft in and out and am hoping to be able to get more pictures. |

Great pics, great topic. This one reminded me of Mac's improvised PPG(powered paraglider) in the Wasteland .... |

Great picture! I like how the yellow stands out against the muted/dull background. I've always wanted to try one of these. |

Well I went to the airshow held here yesterday and it was fun. A lot of amazing planes including T6 Harvards, Aermacchi MB-326, Silver Falcons Pilatus PC-7, and my personal fave...the P51. |

Very Cool. I love the plane's name and nose art. There's a gentleman who owns a P-51, named Crusader, hangared at Centennial Airport, a general aviation airport not far from where I live. The sound that make when they fly by is so recognizable. |

Taken at Rocky Mountain Air Show - 2014 - Greeley, CO A DC-3 "I don't know why I'm mad at ya. I already knew you were nuts. The question is, 'How touched am I to keep getting hooked up with you?'" |

Also taken at the Rocky Mountain Air Show - 2014 - Greeley, CO. "The Wasteland" episode came to mind with this photo. It isn't very clear, as I took it with my phone, while there was a lull in activity on the hot ramp. It wasn't practical for me to have my camera with me while marshaling planes in and out. |

Taken At Rocky Mountain Air Show - 2014 - Greeley, CO A T-28, one of my favorite airplanes. A picture taken while sitting in the shade under the wing of the T-28 |

Taken At Rocky Mountain Air Show - 2014 - Greeley, CO I got to marshal this beauty in and out . . . twice. |

Today, Saturday 11.15.14 I volunteered to work as a ground crew member for a series of flights for the Colorado chapter of Young Eagles. However, nature had different plans as the cloud ceiling was too low and the temperatures were less than ideal. However, a local helicopter pilot took the kids in attendance, six at a time, on a short ride around Centennial Airport. My first "First" of the day involving a helicopter . . . I got to marshal two take off and two landings. I had only marshaled air planes up until today. My second "First" of the day. |

Here's an image I took recently at a hot air ballooning fiesta. A late autumn snow made great contrast with the polychrome balloon .... |
