MacGyver Online Forums > Macs Loft > 2 Truths and a Lie Game

Posted by: denizen 27 March 2014 - 02:08 AM
Hi Everyone,

Thought I'd start a new game! biggrin.gif

One player states three things about themselves, two of which are true and one being a lie.

Right! The other players then have to guess which is the lie. The player who guesses correctly first takes the next turn.

Each player can obviously play more than once bearing in mind that you would have to conclude more truths about yourself!

I'll kick start this & have fun! laugh.gif

1. I started watching MacGyver when it first aired back in 1985
2. I own a total of 6 Swiss Army Knives
3. I saw every single episode of MacGyver without missing one during its original run

Posted by: MacCat 27 March 2014 - 04:10 AM
Hmm... I'm guessing that the first two are true and number 3. is a lie?

macsak.gif

Posted by: denizen 27 March 2014 - 04:50 AM
Guess again! laugh.gif

Posted by: MacCat 27 March 2014 - 06:50 AM
Okay, then it has to be number 2.!

tongue.gif

Posted by: denizen 27 March 2014 - 10:26 AM
Correct!

In fact the clue there was that 1 & 3 were somewhat tied. If i had watched the entire series when it originally ran, I would have HAD to watch MacGyver when it first aired. laugh.gif

Well done! The floor is yours!

Posted by: Joe SAKic 27 March 2014 - 03:58 PM
1. Sat next to Mr. T on a flight from Chicago to Toronto.
2. Played tennis with country music star Kenny Rogers.
3. Had dinner with supermodel/actress Kathy Ireland.

Posted by: MacAbigail 27 March 2014 - 04:13 PM
Oh wow!

Ummm, I'm gonna say that the first 2 are true and the last one is false

Posted by: Joe SAKic 27 March 2014 - 04:30 PM
You are - absolutely .....

Wrong! harhar.gif biggrin.gif macsak.gif

I did actually have dinner with Kathy Ireland in Mexico at Club Med in winter of 1987. She was there doing a shoot for Cosmopolitan and I was employed at that resort as a tennis instructor. My friend the hospitality manager had set up the dinner and invited me to join the table.

Posted by: MacAbigail 27 March 2014 - 04:33 PM
If you were employed as a tennis instructor....then I'm gonna say that you probably played tennis with Kenny Rogers lol. So.....1 Sitting next to Mr. T, I'm gonna guess that's false
biggrin.gif harhar.gif

Posted by: Joe SAKic 27 March 2014 - 04:58 PM
During a flight on American Airlines from Chicago to Toronto in early 1986 and during the A-Team years, I got my bordering pass, headed down the aisle (head up all the way checking for sit numbers), found my row, put my briefcase in the overhead compartment, and as I began to sit down in the aisle seat, noticed a familiar 'mug' sitting in the window seat. - it was indeed Laurence Tureaud or 'Mr. T'.

My boss, a huge A-Team fanatic (and real practical joker too) immediately asked me what I said to him .... and I said not much of anything just a nod, smile and a 'hello'. That's it????? Are you sure that's it??????, he confirmed. Yes, that's it. Oh, he said - because if you had snarled and said ' You crazy fool' .... I would have doubled your salary now & on the spot. laugh.gif

..... true story.

Which leads me to Kenny Rogers who showed up at our tennis facility to play tennis once upon a time. However, he brought three band members with him for doubles and they played quietly by themselves and then left out the side door. No tennis or kibbitzing with Kenny at all, I'm afraid. unsure.gif tongue.gif

Posted by: MacAbigail 27 March 2014 - 05:10 PM
So cool! You are really lucky to have 2 awesome things like that happen to ya! biggrin.gif I'm gonna tell my little brother about your experience with Mr T, because he is a big A-Team fan biggrin.gif

Okay, so its my turn to give some facts lolz

1. My seconds cousins uncle wrote the music to "Singing In The Rain"
2. My great grandfather went to school with Ed Wynn
3. My uncle is good friends with George Lucas

Posted by: Joe SAKic 27 March 2014 - 05:42 PM
Hmmmmmm - I'm going to say that your uncle is not good friends with George Lucas? sakopen.gif

Posted by: MacAbigail 27 March 2014 - 05:46 PM
Now its your turn to be wrong teeheee harhar.gif biggrin.gif

My uncle is very good friends with George Lucas, in fact, he lives next door to him. I have a "Lucas Films" sweatshirt that George gave my uncle. My uncle also watches George's house when he goes away...and he watches his pets too happy.gif

Posted by: Joe SAKic 27 March 2014 - 05:59 PM
Boohoo, I mean yeah, because now I'm sending down my Star Wars LP Cover to get autographed by 'Uncle George'!!!!!! <just kidding> wink.gif

Hmmmm, again hmm.bmp - I remember Ed Wynn from some of those old Disney movies - excellent - and I don't think that you'd ever tell a fib about Ol' Ed - so I'm going to say that you're 'singing in the rain' about Singing in the Rain!? :whistle

Posted by: MacAbigail 27 March 2014 - 06:05 PM
Hahaha,wrong again harhar.gif

My second cousin's uncle, Nacio Herb Brown, did write the music to singing in the rain happy.gif

I threw in Ed Wynn in there because he is cool, and I do wish my great grandfather had gone to school with him because that would of been awesome! I have great respect for him and all his work in the Disney classics smile.gif

Posted by: Joe SAKic 27 March 2014 - 06:16 PM
sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif You got me back. Are we easy to fool, or what? unsure.gif And, a great example for why never to play lottery biggrin.gif

Those are really cool celeb connections btw!!!! happy.gif

Posted by: MacAbigail 27 March 2014 - 06:20 PM
Well, your celebrity *meetings* are awesome too lol.

I guess we're even....for now wink.gif Hahaha biggrin.gif

Posted by: YopeGyver 27 March 2014 - 08:15 PM
What a cool game, denizen! thumbup.gif And wowzers! I love everyone's stories! These are so cool! Ya'll are lucky. wink.gif

Who's turn is it?

Posted by: denizen 27 March 2014 - 10:09 PM
You can take it, Yope.

Or whoever else comes first. biggrin.gif

Posted by: Joe SAKic 28 March 2014 - 02:49 PM
Okay, okay by (not so) popular request, I'll go again ......

1. Literally bumped into actress Glenn Close at JFK airport in NYC. It was just after I had watched her in great performance in 'Fatal Attraction' and it kinda gave me a bit of (re)shock! ohmy.gif biggrin.gif

2. Was once offered a part in a Hollywood movie. hmm.bmp

3. Sold an item on eBay to 'George McFly' (aka Crispin Glover) whistle.gif

Posted by: MacAbigail 28 March 2014 - 02:58 PM
Okay, so I get another chance to guess the right answer. Yay! Maybe I can redeem myself lol happy.gif

Hmmmm, I'm gonna say that the lie is that you were offered a part in a Hollywood movie?
Am I right? huh.gif

Posted by: Joe SAKic 28 March 2014 - 03:36 PM
Sorry, wrong again Abi! whistle.gif tongue.gif

I once spent an evening with film producers/actors Vijay & Ashok Armritraj. A great night of fun was had by all and the first thing I said to 'Vijay' (who played an MI6 agent in the Bond film 'Octopussy' and was soon killed off) was 'hey, I thought you were dead!? huh.gif Eventually (and over the course of a few drinks) I worked up the courage to ask them if I had any chance for a part in an upcoming film. unsure.gif

Vijay, without missing a beat, said 'from the moment you walked in we've had you penciled in for the lead in an upcoming ..... horror flick and the bonus for us is that they're will be absolutely no makeup needed with your face.' unsure.gif laugh.gif

Okay, so I don't think they were that sincere and I'm still waiting for 'the call' .... but the proposal was on the table (even though it drew rounds of bellyaching laughter from everyone within ear distance of the barb). biggrin.gif unsure.gif

Posted by: YopeGyver 28 March 2014 - 05:30 PM
Funny story, Joe! biggrin.gif

I'm going to guess...you sold an item to Crispin Glover on eBay is a fib. But..if it's true- I'm curious. What was the item? biggrin.gif

Posted by: Joe SAKic 28 March 2014 - 06:05 PM
I actually did sell an antique Tibetan rug on eBay to a 'Crispin Glover'. I wasn't sure it was 'thee' Crispin Glover as the mailing address was to a Vancouver hotel. Then, after a quick internet search, discovered that thee Crispin Glover was in British Columbia shooting a new film - 'Willard' - at the time - so that confirmed it. Still have the money order receipt - as a souvenir - laying around in a drawer somewhere.

Which leads me to my not so fatal and very 'fictitious' encounter with Glenn Close. tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Posted by: YopeGyver 29 March 2014 - 08:21 AM
Wow that's really cool! cool.jpg

I think I'll have a go.

1. My grandmother was Cherokee.
2. My father is a preacher.
3. My aunt is an airline pilot.

Posted by: MacAbigail 29 March 2014 - 09:09 AM
I'll take a guess.....

Alright Yope...I'm gonna say that your aunt is an airline pilot is the lie wink.gif
sakopen.gif

Posted by: YopeGyver 29 March 2014 - 02:41 PM
Darn. Got it right on the money, Abigail! laugh.gif Was it that disbelievable?

Your turn! happy.gif

Posted by: MacAbigail 29 March 2014 - 08:20 PM
Hahaha, it was just a lucky guess is all biggrin.gif A very lucky guess

Okay so it's my turn....let me see

1. I went to an Elton John concert
2. I went to a taping of The X Factor
3. I went to the "Stoogeum" a museum that celebrates the life and works of the 3 Stooges

Posted by: Joe SAKic 31 March 2014 - 01:57 PM
Okay, I'll give it a whirl. biggrin.gif

I know that Elton John has hit many smaller venues in the past several years throughout North America. So much so that he even hit my hometown and I went to see him - as I think you did as well.

Stoogeum sounds like a place that I could identify with and it looks to be in a region where you might have had plenty of opportunities to visit and I think you did.

Which leaves 'The X Factor' taping. unsure.gif hmm.bmp unsure.gif hmm.bmp

Posted by: MacAbigail 31 March 2014 - 02:09 PM
You're exactly right! Lol!

Elton John is my ULTIMATE favorite singer and he went to Rhode Island last November and I HAD to go, because like I said, he's my all time favorite. smile.gif I even have an Elton John collection wink.gif

The Stoogeum, yup, been there. I'm a big fan of their work and how could I pass up visiting their museum? happy.gif

Which leaves The X Factor taping, which you were right, was the lie. I have always wanted to go to an X Factor taping though, it's on my to do list lol. I really like Simon Cowell happy.gif

Okay, it's someone else's turn smile.gif

Posted by: Joe SAKic 31 March 2014 - 02:38 PM
Neato! I'm not a big Elton John fan but I do have half a dozen or so of his LPs and also a live at the Sydney Opera House CD which is really very good.

Okay, here's one especially for Mac/RDA and all hockey fans or anybody else who wants to have a go at it (and with an extra truth included) .....

1. Shook hands with & received autograph from Wayne 'The Great One' Gretzky
2. Shook hands with & received autograph from Bobby 'The Golden Jet' Hull
3. Shook hands with & received autograph from Gordie 'Mr. Hockey' Howe
4. Shook hands with & received autograph from Maurice 'The Rocket' Richard

Posted by: denizen 2 April 2014 - 10:40 PM
Other than Wayne Gretzky, I have no idea when it comes to Hockey. But Ill give it a go and assume that your encounter with Bobby 'The Golden Jet' Hull is a lie. smile.gif

Posted by: Joe SAKic 3 April 2014 - 02:13 AM
Denizen, a good try ...... but an incorrect one. biggrin.gif

Posted by: denizen 3 April 2014 - 03:18 AM
Okay okay! 2nd guess...Gretzky?

Posted by: Joe SAKic 3 April 2014 - 03:45 AM
hockey.gif hockey.gif hockey.gif ding ding ding ding ding! Hot dog you're a weiner!!!!!! thumbup.gif

Posted by: denizen 3 April 2014 - 05:02 AM
Cool! biggrin.gif

Okay. Round 2 for me.

Since I have been to many concerts in my time, I will theme this one based on that!

1. Attended Billy Joel's World Tour Concert

2. Went to the official HIStory Michael Jackson World Tour concert

3. Was invited to a special concert which featured the Spice Girls, Prince Charles, Prince Harry & Nelson Mandela

Posted by: Joe SAKic 4 April 2014 - 04:31 PM
I really do think you got an invite to the Madiba/Royalty gig. It's the other two that's got me in deep thought. But since the MJ History tour was also in 1997, I'm gonna say that you made it to that concert and did not make it to see the Piano Man?

Posted by: denizen 6 April 2014 - 09:54 PM
True! Well done, mate!

I was actually invited to see that concert on the last minute. I was not exactly a "Spice Girls" fan but my colleague at the time begged me to "tag along". It ended up being quite an experience. The following day, the girls met at a local farm where dozens of "Special" fans appeared and we had a chance to meet them.

I did actually attend the Michael Jackson world tour concert. Always liked his music and have to say that he blew everyone away. It was a spectacle I will never forget.

The Piano Man came to town a couple of years ago and I was dying to see him in concert. Sadly though, I missed out on that one. sad.gif

Your turn, Joe!

Posted by: Joe SAKic 7 April 2014 - 08:01 AM
Great stuff, denizen! biggrin.gif I was not a big MJ fan back in the day, however his passing and the fact that music has this real nostalgic link with your past as in a vintage song heard today can instantly transport one's mental imagery back to a specific time/place - has caused me to pick up several of his old recordings in recent years.

Okay, fasten your jeep seatbelts .....

1. Have slept in the very same room as Queen Elizabeth once did.

2. Kate Winslet and I have slept in the same bed.

3. Slept on a cot in a tiger cage babysitting two cub Bengal tigers at a zoo charity event.

Posted by: denizen 7 April 2014 - 09:26 PM
Hmmm....

I could be wrong here, but your tiger experience seems more surreal than the others. biggrin.gif

Posted by: Joe SAKic 8 April 2014 - 09:08 AM
Dang, busted again! mad.gif

Yes, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip came to India in 1949 to shoot tigers. The camp that they stayed in is now a tourist guesthouse. 50 years later, I too came to shoot tigers (with camera) and stayed at the same location and, knowing the royal history, requested that same room - well known to the staff.

Also in India, I was specking out potential hotel rooms & rates for our company to stay long term at. In one luxury hotel, I got the executive tour and in the process asked if any famous people had stayed recently. The sales manager stated that Kate Winslet had stayed with them while shooting Holy Smoke!. Curious about the specific digs, I asked them to please show that room.

It was (of course) a penthouse- like suite with all the gratuities /luxuries etc including a king sized bed. I asked the staff if they minded if I tried out the bed. They said go ahead. And so with business suit on, briefcase in hand, and somewhat to their surprise, I did a sort of a Fosbury Flop onto the bed, shut my eyes, embellished a few snores, got up and made the claim. Okay, okay, I know - a tad juvenile but .... how many can claim that they slept in the same bed as an Oscar winner? happy_dance.gif laugh.gif

Great sleuthing Denizen!!! macsak.gif

Next ......? hmm.bmp

Posted by: denizen 8 April 2014 - 09:17 PM
That is quite an amazing story there, Joe. Thanks for sharing. smile.gif

C'mon people! We need more playing this! biggrin.gif

I'll go. Again!!! smile.gif

My cousin attended a party in LA where he met up & had drinks with the guys from AC/DC
I met the guys from ZZ Top
My friend met Bruce Springsteen

Which 2 are the truth? whistle.gif

Which one is the lie...? laugh.gif

Posted by: YopeGyver 9 April 2014 - 03:39 PM
You're sounding like a game show host, denizen. laugh.gif
"Who will stay? And who will be eliminated!" *booming echo*

I'm going to guess...your friend met Bruce Springsteen is the lie?.

Posted by: denizen 9 April 2014 - 09:43 PM
Yooooouuuureeeee absolutely corrrrrrrect! That's 5 points to you, Yope!

My cousin stays in Florida and was invited to a special party in LA. He said a few celebrities were there including the then Boys2Men whom he said were a little "Big" for their heads. biggrin.gif

Ironically in the corner, the entire band of AC/DC were sitting down. The guys invited him to their table, sat down & talked the whole night. They were the coolest guys he ever met, so says him. smile.gif

Back in 1995, I was working for a music company whom had been promoting the band ZZ Top. It was only by accident that their hotel was in close proximity & they had a problem with their booking. While their hotel mix up was being attended to, the band decided to walk around & do a bit of exploring & I happened to bump into them! biggrin.gif Great bunch a' guys!

Bruce Springsteen recently toured South Africa & my friend DID actually attend the concert but sadly did not meet the East Street Band. smile.gif

Well done, Yope. You wanna go next?

Posted by: YopeGyver 10 April 2014 - 06:48 PM
Interesting stories, denizen!

Sure, I'll have a go. smile.gif

1. I'm a friend of Robert Conrad.
2. I've met animal behaviorist Patricia McConnell.
3. I've been to Taiwan.

Posted by: denizen 10 April 2014 - 09:00 PM
Wow. Tricky. Mainly because all of them are so believable.

I'll take it your meeting with Robert Conrad only happened in your dreams. biggrin.gif

Posted by: YopeGyver 11 April 2014 - 04:19 PM
*buzzer sounds*

We haven't met /in person/ just yet (and, yes, that does has happen in my dreams tongue.gif). But the folks at the studio where his show is based, know me and I'm a regular emailer/caller. He's very nice and so easy to talk to! He actually reminds me a lot of my uncle...he likes to joke and tease. XD
I've also been invited to come visit by the man himself, but it hasn't happened yet. smile.gif

Care to take another guess? smile.gif

Posted by: MacAbigail 11 April 2014 - 04:24 PM
I'll take a guess and say that you haven't been to Taiwan??

hmm.bmp

Posted by: YopeGyver 11 April 2014 - 05:59 PM
Sorry! wink.gif Wrong one!

It was actually only the airport in Taiwan for several hours while my family and I waited for our flight to Manila. But hey! It was still Taiwan. wink.gif By the way, Taiwan has THE best, cleanest, airport I have ever been to. The personnel were also amazing and super nice. happy.gif

I have never met Patricia McConnell, but she's one person I would love to meet. She's sort of a hero of mine in the canine world. smile.gif

You or someone else can have a go, Abigail! smile.gif

Posted by: MacAbigail 11 April 2014 - 07:10 PM
Awww, I didn't get it right again! One of these times I'm going to guess correctly!

Okay, so I guess I'll go next.

1 I've been to New York City
2 I've been to Washington DC
3 I've been to Disneyworld

Posted by: denizen 12 April 2014 - 06:35 AM
Im going to go guess NYC is a bust. smile.gif

Posted by: MacAbigail 12 April 2014 - 07:18 AM
And you are......WRONG! tongue.gif

I actually went to NYC last April and stayed in the city for 4 days. It was a nice vacation. I stayed in "The Marriot Marquis" hotel in Times Square, so I was right in the heart of the city. I went to Madison Square Garden for a hockey game, went to see "The Lion King" on Broadway....oh gosh, I did so many fun things in those 4 days! biggrin.gif
I actually want to go back to NYC! Its such a fun city!

Guess again wink.gif

Posted by: denizen 12 April 2014 - 08:27 AM
Cool! Sounds like you had fun! Hmm...Disneyworld?

Posted by: MacAbigail 12 April 2014 - 08:42 AM
Sorry denizen, wrong again!

I went to Disneyworld just a couple months ago, it was a Christmas present from mom and dad! Disneyworld is.... the best place I have ever been! For sure! happy.gif I was in Florida from Jan 1st to Jan 14th biggrin.gif I wasn't in Disney that whole time though, just some of the time happy.gif The rest of the time I spent with my grandparents in their condo!
The best part of that trip is...I'M GOING BACK NEXT JANUARY! biggrin.gif

Washington DC was the lie, I've never been there. My brother is going to DC in May though, just for a vacation. He is really into the whole "politics" thing, so its going to be the perfect vacation for him biggrin.gif

Okay, someone else's turn happy.gif

Posted by: Joe SAKic 12 April 2014 - 09:44 AM
Okay, here it goes:

1 Been to Disneyworld/Disneyland
2 Been to NYC
3 Been to Washington DC

Posted by: MacAbigail 13 April 2014 - 05:23 AM
Wow, Joe SAKic, you have the same options as me lol!

I'll take a guess and say that you haven't been to NYC??? happy.gif

Posted by: Joe SAKic 13 April 2014 - 05:37 AM
Haha, I know - thought I'd throw it for fun .... just like NYC was in watching the US Open Tennis and the Rangers vs Bruins @ MSG. Been there done that. tongue.gif

Posted by: MacAbigail 13 April 2014 - 05:50 AM
Ugh! I'll try again! wink.gif This time I have a 50/50 chance of being right happy.gif

I'm going to say that.... Washington DC is the lie! tongue.gif

Posted by: Joe SAKic 13 April 2014 - 07:03 AM
Yup, you got it! I've never been to Washington either. ohmy.gif

NYC, I've been many times on business and more than a few for vacation. Been to both Disney World & Disneyland. Although the trip to Disney World is of interest because it was both unscheduled and free. How could that be? unsure.gif

Well, it was university graduation package tour to Jamaica and on the way there our jet lost an engine and we had to make an emergency landing in Orlando and wait for repairs. Turned out in the end that there was nothing wrong with the engine at all - only the engine sensor - but while they macgyvered that out - we got to spend a day and a half at DW ..... 'on the house'.

Posted by: denizen 13 April 2014 - 10:09 PM
Great stories, you guys! Keep em coming! biggrin.gif

I'll take another shot. Hmmm....

1. I can hold my breath underwater for 2m31s
2. I am left-handed
3. I used to have a knack at predicting what awaiting me around the next corner.

Posted by: MacAbigail 14 April 2014 - 12:33 PM
Such a hard guess, because they all seem true happy.gif

I'm going to guess and say that you aren't left handed?? hmm.bmp

Posted by: YopeGyver 14 April 2014 - 07:15 PM
You cannot hold your breath underwater for 2m31s?

Posted by: denizen 14 April 2014 - 09:34 PM
Sorry MacAbigail but I AM left handed! biggrin.gif

Yope, you arrrrrrrrrrre riiiiiiiiiiight! I think I could hold my breath that long like 20 years ago. biggrin.gif

And yes! I used to have a very strange ability at predicting what was around every corner a few years ago. Don't believe in psychic powers or anything but it was a little weird. Literally seconds before it happened, I could see a red Ferrari pass by and then it happened! I used to tell everyone to pick up the phone which was not ringing, then 2 seconds later, it rang! Stuff like that. doh.gif

Very very weird!

Who's next? smile.gif

Posted by: denizen 21 April 2014 - 02:07 AM
Don't be shy now! Who'sssss next? biggrin.gif

Posted by: Rocket 21 April 2014 - 05:28 AM
OK, I'm next:

1. I used to be the Foreman (dance teacher) for a Border Morris Dance side
2. I was once offered a job as a bouncer (I'm 5'2" tall and weigh 60kg or 9 1/2 st)
3. I have been backstage at a Goo Goo Dolls concert

Any guesses?

Posted by: Duckt tape 21 April 2014 - 02:33 PM
Hmmm... I'd say the second one is a lie

Posted by: Rocket 22 April 2014 - 12:00 AM
Heh heh... Wrong!

I was offered the job by a guy I trained Silat with, whose day job was supplying bouncers to local pubs and clubs. I didn't take it because I already had a full time job biggrin.gif

Posted by: Duckt tape 22 April 2014 - 01:04 AM
Well then the first one is a lie

Posted by: Rocket 22 April 2014 - 06:29 AM
Wrong again, I'm afraid smile.gif

I was the Foreman for Carreg Las Border Morris side when I lived in Wales. Check out the photos on Youtube - I'm the one with horizontal black and white striped face paint happy_dance.gif

Which means I've never been backstage at a Goo Goo Dolls concert, more's the pity. One day, though smile.gif

Posted by: Duckt tape 22 April 2014 - 09:51 AM
That sounds like a lot of fun smile.gif
Well I guess it's my turn

1. I'm huge SG-1 fan
2. I've never been to USA
3. I've accidentally almost hanged myself to a tree

Posted by: denizen 22 April 2014 - 10:33 AM
Almost accidently hung yourself? Sheesh!

Still, I'm going with number 2. You have never been to the US.

Posted by: Duckt tape 22 April 2014 - 11:06 AM
Yeah I guess that's quite spooky one laugh.gif

Sorry, wrong. I've never been to USA I'd love to go there, but I think it's too big place, too far away and too expensive for going just to a little holiday for a week. so I plan to go there as an exchange student or to study whole degree there or to work there so that when I'd finally go there I'd stayed there at least a year. smile.gif

Posted by: denizen 22 April 2014 - 11:21 AM
Hmm. Okay. Then it has to be the spooky hanging story.

Im convinced you are an SG1 fan.

Posted by: Duckt tape 22 April 2014 - 11:49 AM
laugh.gif unfortunately the spooky hanging story is also true. I was 7 and climbing to my favorite tree at the school yard (of course climbing to trees was forbidden at school but who cares) and the branch under my feet snapped and when I fell the collar of my shirt got stuck to the remains of the brunch that had snapped stopping my fall. While I was hanging there from my collar the collar got so tightly around my throat that I couldn't breathe. I tried to get free but there was nothing I could do until my shirt finally ripped and I fell to the ground. All's well that ends well smile.gif that was the only climbing accident I've ever had and I climbed a lot before and after that.

Now about the SG-1... I'm not huge SG-1 fan because I have no idea what it is biggrin.gif I just noticed that there's some MacGyver SG-1 crossover fanfictions and some other SG-1 topics on this forum. blush.gif

Posted by: denizen 23 April 2014 - 09:05 AM
surprise.gif That is a creepy story indeed. Glad you made it!

Get outta town! You don't know what Stargate is?!

Watch the movie. Then, continue the story with the TV series pilot which leads into the episodes.

Stargate was a successful motion picture made by Dean Devlin & director Roland Emmerich. He did this before Independence Day. It stars Kurt Russell & James Spader. Story is about a mysterious device found in Egypt during an expedition inthe 1930's.

Decades later, Dr Daniel Jackson (Spader) is called into a military confine to try and solve the mystery of this unnatural find. He identifies the device to be that of a portal or a 'gate' to another world. From there, its a non stop thrill a minute action adventure.

The TV series stars Richard Dean Anderson fresh out of MacGyver give or take a few years and one failed prior TV show titled Legend. He stars as Kurt Russells character, Jack O'Neal. A miliary soldier.

It's #3. I grew up across the border from Ontario, near Rochester NY.

I met Leslie Nielsen in 2002. I was with a small group to repair Delbarton's city hall and repaint a school's hallways. In our wanderings around the town we ran into him. Unexpected surprise.

I have been playing bass since 1996.
