My computer was infected by a pernicious virus, knocking it out of commission for several days. sad.gif If something called "Antivirus 2009" tries to install itself on your computer, don't let it! ohmy.gif It looks legitimate, as if it's from Microsoft, but it isn't. Just run your own antivirus programs to get rid of it, or do what I did--have someone from your I.T. department at work or any computer expert to thoroughly clean the machine for you and completely rid you of the virus. I'm glad to be back, and I'm sorry if I worried anyone. Yes, I am still alive! smile.gif wink.gif I should be posting the next part of my story soon now that I'm back in business! biggrin.gif It's good to be here again! happy_dance.gif

Hi MacsChick!
Glad you are back online!

That Antivirus 2009 tried to get me too! Fortunately I asked a friend about it and they told me not to download it but to run my anti-spyware, because it just wouldnt go away. It kept on poping up windows wanting me to install it...

I do wish that the people who were smart enough to create viruses would put their intelect into making good programs instead of destructive ones... sigh...

MacsChick!!!!!
*glomp*
I agree with Kyrian. Why don't these idiots use their skills for better stuff than destroying other's people's computers?

So far I think my computer's anti-spyware and antivirus have been working really hard to prevent that virus from ever taking any kind of control of it.

We're glad you're back, MacsChick. I missed you happy.gif
