True, Leatherman company founded in 1983 and Swisstool announced in 1997, so Debbie had Leatherman.

In the list it says recruit economy for Renegade episode, but I think I saw 3 different knives used in this episode, even one bigger SAK when Mac cuts the ropes in the end.

The way I see it, no recruit economy was used in the Renegade episode, correct if I'm wrong. The Recruit Economy SAK is a simpler version with no toothpick or tweezers. Mac used his SAK in the elevator and in the end cutting the rope. To me it looks like there's toothpick in the close up shot in elevator. While cutting the rope, it looks like 111mm, perhaps Picnicker or some other large blade one. Mac did use a lot large blade during season 4. Steve Morrison (Marshall Teague) in the first picture seems to be using some smaller SAK, to me it looks like black small Tinker, any thoughts.
By the way, the one Deborah used in Negotiator is most likely Leatherman PST Pocket Survival Tool 1988-1992

What does the "Standard" (old Spartan) look like? Is it missing the two tools on the opposite side from where the knife blades, screwdriver, bottle opener, etc. are? Is it small in size, similar to the size of the small Tinker? Or is it missing the toothpick and tweezers?
Is there any way to not only list the different SAKs Mac used, as it currently exists on MOL, but to include an accurate picture of said SAKs as they existed while "MacGyver" was on TV, with all the tools exposed, similar to the wardrobe page. The pictures should be of the actual SAKs, not screen captures from the different episodes. If a particular SAK model differs in any way to the ones Mac used, a note should be made stating said difference.

I think the standard has no keyring, tweezers or toothpick.
The photos is a good idea but runs into problems with episodes having multiple knives. The page looks quite messy with pictures added. I can look at having an image pop up when you click on the name of the knife.
I just found this SAK wiki site. It's not very well put together - doesn't even have a search by name option, but some may find it interesting/useful.

Thank you for the picture.
The ide of clicking on the name to get an image to appear sounds like a good idea.

Maybe you were referring to the original Spartan (?) but in France, today, all the SAKs have a keyring and a toothpick (I've just checked while shopping).

No. The picture I posted is of a Victorinox "Standard".
The Knives used per episode page now has pictures on it. Just click on the name of a SAK to see what it looks like.
The models were researched through the Victorinox web site and the SAKWiki so I'm fairly confident that they are all accurate, but let me know if you find any mistakes with the photos.

I think victorinox knife used in Renegade is sportsman or tourist in elevator scene and when Mac cuts the rope he uses picknicker knife. In three for the road camper is used trough the episode except when Mac is cutting newspaper the model can be climber, huntsman, mountaineer, grand prix or fisherman because scissors are used.
Hopefully, if/when they release the series & movies in BluRay, that should help in IDing the knives used where currently we can't tell or aren't positive.
IIRC, in the movie Trail to Doomsday they only showed Mac w/his SAK when he was in a room before setting off underground. He held it in one hand and used it to drum the palm of the other as he was thinking of something. No tools were used then, and I don't think they even showed a SAK other than that.
I rented the DVD via Netflix a few months ago, so I can't look it up. Maybe someone else can. I don't recall the opening and closing credits, so you may want to ck those for SAKs too.

Just want to make sure, the we see MacGyver use for the first time in the Pilot episode is a Victorinox Tinker. Is this specific model still made or does the current Tinker model differ in any way?

The Picknicker I have is different than the one pictured on MOL and on SAKwiki. Mine is 91mm, has large blade / small blade /phillips head screwdriver / magnifying glass / bottle opener w/ large slot head screwdriver and wire stripper / can opener w/ screwdriver / corkscrew / reamer.

Did Mac's Tourist have a key ring? I've seen them with and without.

In the interest of screen accuracy, I wish there was a site that displayed the evolution of the design of each SAK model over the years, accounting for each and every change and the year(s) of said models, that way those of us looking to own SAKs exactly like Mac used could be sure the ones we have match. I called Victoinox and according to the gentleman I spoke with, they have no such record within the company. I noticed the Spartan model initially did not have a an eye in the reamer but later models did and still do. So, did Mac's have the eye in the reamer or not?
I think the closest we can get is to purchase "new old stock" of Victorinox SAKs packaged in the burgundy boxes with the silver Swiss shield and silver lettering: VICTORINOX the original "Swiss Army Officers' Knife" the first and the finest. The first Victorinox SAK I bought was a Tinker - small in 1986 or 1987 and it came in the above described box.
This may border on OCD. But . . . screen accurate is screen accurate.

I called Victorinox and from what the customer service rep. told me, they do not have a record of the different versions of the SAKs made over the years. I'm surprised this. I would've thought they'd have a timeline, as it were, of the evolution of every SAK model they've made. Too bad there's not an app for that.

Also I took various other screenshots when MacGyver was speeding up the timer. The flat head screwdriver shape is not a Victorinox one. Check them below:

Just watched Last Stand ... in my opinion 2 knives were used in this episode.
In the SAK page, there is written Tinker / Executive but...
In the image below, the knife is clearly not an Executive since it is a medium knife (91mm I could say)
This knife was taken from MacGyver by the bad guy at the beginning when he was asked to empty his pockets.
And then in the same episode, a bit later on, we see MacGyver with a knife where the blade is not as high as the knife itself. And judging by the grip, I guess it is an Executive now. Check this:
So this shows that more than 1 knife could have been used in one episode so the total number of knives in the SAK page does not necessarily need to match the number of episodes.
UPDATE:
I also started watching Hellfire ... again here there is marked Tinker / Executive
However both knives were used in this episode.
Here we have a medium (91mm?) knife:
And then a few seconds later while still looking at the dynamite, we have the Executive which can be clearly identified by the blade size and knife shape (I own one so I immediately recognise one when I see it):
So... what do you guys think? Your opinion KiwiTek?
---- cheers bert
