Before he went gray, obviously. I'm guessing maybe light brown, but I've seen pics of him from General Hospital where it's nearly black.

RDA's natural hair color is dark brown. Basically what you see at the beginning of the first season of MacGyver before he started to highlight it, which was around mid-season one.

I think he dyed it for as long as he could before he finally gave up and just let it go gray. lol
