QUOTE (Bubba Ho-Tep @ 17 June 2009 - 09:24 AM) | I have a pair of Redwings that look exactly like that. They even have a smooth surface bottom, which the boots in the picture seem to have.
You could probably search for Redwings online. They are based in Minnesota (home state of MacGyver!)
I bought mine at a shoe store's going out of business sale. I have only worn them once so far. My normal everyday footwear is a pair of black Redwings.
Hope this helps! |
Could you post a photo of them?

In the Fith season, MacGyver owned a pair of Nike Air Force IIIs. These sneakers were released in 1988, but retroed in 2003. The colorway he had were Black/White/Neutral Grey. These are the same model, but different colors. They can be seen clearly in the episode,"Deep Cover" when Dexter Fillmore is in jail with Joe Bannicker. It's near the part when he asks where is shoelaces are. Later on when he's trapped in the sinking submarine, you can clearly see them when the camera shows the water rising above his knees.
"...Verily, Verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3
"And where are my shoelaces!?"-Dexter Fillmore, Deep Cover

I have been after a pair of Nike Air Jordan 5's for a while now, and as MacGyverfan717 said, on ebay they can go for over $400. I wasn't going to pay that for a pair of sneakers. So i gave www.dragonkicks.com a try at their sneakers. They are not authenic shoes, but at just over $50, with free shipping, it was worth a try. I ordered these black/silver ones from "Tough Boys" episode, the pic below shows the insides of the shoes, they do have the silver flames on the outside, exactly like MacGyverfan717's picture: In 7 days the shoes arrived, and I was extremely surprised, and happy with them, they are great. I have just ordered 2 more pairs including the 5's in white/black/red, which is pretty close to the ones mac has: Heres a link to the Nike Air Jordan 5's they have: Nike Air Jordan 5'sI highly reccommend these shoes to anyone who wants them, but doesn't want to spend $400 on a pair of shoes. There are reviews on youtube from people who have purchased from www.dragonkicks.com, so check them out. To get a further $5 off your order, use *danny* , without the * at checkout I hope i have helped anyone who was after these shoes.
