Posted by: Maclover 25 December 2015 - 12:43 PM
I was lucky and Santa was v. generous, I received cash, perfume, nicer cosmetics than I would normally buy (I don't wear them day to day, but they are nice if I go somewhere special), a towel for my diving lessons, tickets for StarWars in 3D at the iMax on NYE biggrin.gif and wait for it.................................................An entire boxed DVD set of all the 10 series of Stargate and the two accompanying films. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

How about everyone else?

I got a new Wenger Swiss Army Knife, and some great clothes and tools. All in all, a great Christmas! biggrin.gif

A striped Armor Lux longsleeve shirt, a Red Wing leather belt and some books.

You folks did well! I received some clothes & a new chainsaw - brnggg, brnggg! Already
used it to cut up some firewood in the back woods because we have a massive snowstorm
headed towards us for Sunday eve and everything (wood) is going to get buried quickly.

I only have two living relatives - my mum and my brother. I've had a litre of rum from my brother which I do like, but have yet to touch, and mostly other than that DVD box sets from the eighties/nineties because I love the era so much. My friend also got me a MacGyver mug she had made, which has lots of period pics on, as well as my pic from meeting Richard last year!

Very nice, Amiga.

I need to get Stargate on DVD... eventually. XD One of these days.

I almost always get a lot of junk food over Christmas. I'm usually sugared out by the time the holidays are over.

I got an Echo Dot from my guy friend. He thought it would be easier on my computer (aka the "potato") to talk via the Echo instead of Skype though my computer. My sister tormented Alexa for a while, and I'm pretty sure it's a matter of time before the AI's start to revolt.

You can voice call over the echo dot like Skype? How do you do that without going through a phone or computer?
My family all has one of those, but I'm so visual I usually like to see things, so I'm not sure what I'd ever ask Alexa for lol

My most unique gift was a tattoo gift certificate from my mom - growing up I never in a million years would have predicted that one! ohmy.gif laugh.gif (There are a couple little ones I've been thinking of, probably first I'm going to get little paw prints on my foot for my pets)

I'm not a 100% sure how it works, but it's connected to my WiFi and through my phone via bluetooth. So, I believe it goes through my phone. You can actually use Skype on it too, if you want to do group chats. It is a pretty cool device. You download an app to your phone and use that to put apps on the Echo. I have one called "Sleep Sounds" which loops nature sounds until you tell Alexa to stop. I use it as a glorified alarm clock, mostly. XD

I'm not that tech savvy anymore so I just call my guy friend and he walks me through it. XD

A late Christmas present. A Buffalo Sabres hockey puck like the one I had as a kid. That one became lost in a wood pile during the winter one year. The wood pile served as a hockey goal. After the Spring thaw I had hoped to find it. I never did find it.

LOL! My Alexa was just freaking out in the background trying to answer the lady in the video. XD
