when mac goes sliding down the embankment at the end during the fight scene and subsequently when hes trying to stop the emu machine the amount of mud on his jeans changes several times especially on the back of his right leg from dried and spotty to dark and wet completly covering his legs

when mac is walking down the road with the gas can and is passed by the big rig truck when we see mac on the side of the road the gas can is in his right hand and then in the next shot we see his image in the trucks mirror and the gas can is now in his left hand. even though it is a reflection if you look at RDA you can see the can is in his left hand.

The reflection is correct. Mirror reflections don't reverse the image, they reflect it as it is. Stand in front of a mirror with something in your right hand and then compare it to the mirror image you see below.

As you can see from the below image MacGyver has the gas tin in his right hand which is away from the road. In the reflection the tin is still in the hand furthest from the road.. which is still his right hand.



You'll also note that we can just make out the white of his ski pass hanging from the pocket of his sweater on the opposite side from the gas tin. We can see from the picture below the pass is on his left hand side. This means in the reflection the gas tin in still in his right hand as it's opposite from the ski pass (hanging on his left)

if you look at both pictures the can is closest to the road but in the first shot the can is in his right hand but in the second shot even though the can IS closest to the road if you were standing facing the way RDA is the can is in his LEFT hand now. must have been shot on different sides of the road

But it's a reflection!!

Your seeing what the truck driver is seeing in the mirror.

Stand in front of a mirror and hold your right hand up... your reflection will hold it's left hand up.

When Macgyver gets in the blue GMC truck, he looks for keys but cannot find any. So he hot wires the truck. Now this truck is an older maybe early 80's gmc but it still should have a locking steering column. Even if Mac was able to get the truck started, he shouldn't have been able to steer because the column would have locked in one spot. This is a common misconception in lots of shows and movies.

Also after leaving the phone booth after getting the address for the power plant, mac and pete both hop back in the truck and you hear it fire right up after they get in. You do no see mac bend down to hot wire the truck again. He starts it, just like he has a key to it. So I guess somewhere after leaving the cabin and before arriving at the dinner, pete must of looked around and found the key
