I really loved the potato battery that Mac used for his alarm in that episode... I loved it at first because it reminded me of GLaDOS from Portal, and now every time I see GLaDOS, all I can think is, "Hee hee... MacGyver used you to power his egg timer." :-D

In "Ugly Duckling" he did tell Kate that he had run the marathon twice. Plus he was always running either at someone or away from someone (usually away from them).

Someday, I want to try making a vegetable battery, just for the heck of it. I know that you can also use oranges and pennies to charge up a cell phone, thanks to the Nancy Drew PC game Ghost of Thornton Hall.

I agree!! I've been totally addicted to those games for years. If they made a MacGyver game, you'd better believe that I'd be the first person in line!

Random thought: as a Frederick Forsyth fan, I've read "The Day of the Jackal" several times and I can never stop myself picturing Murdoc in the title role. Even though I've seen the movie and otherwise picture the movie actors for pretty much all the other roles. The Jackal is just perfect for him.
