I'm nosing around on themacgyverproject blogspot lately and the stuff I discover there. I just read that Lincoln Kibbee passed away in 1995 at the age of 42 because he fell asleep on the beach and was carried away by the tide while working on the set of show called Land's End in Mexico. What? Is this even confirmed?

Check out the comments on Trail Of Tears.

Sad to hear. Strange way to go.

I'm not sure where exactly Mark (the commenter) got that from. I'm sure his memory of hearing the story is accurate (since he has a great memory) but the original story could have been wrong. A quick google search makes it appear that Kibbee did drown, but I couldn't find anything about him falling asleep. I did see something about him trying to rescue his son who also drowned. Either way, a terrible story.

Seems like he just hit his prime of writing. And Humanity and Trail of Tears are two of the stronger episodes.
