Amazing how you find all these places, without even having been there. Brilliant work!
Now I have something that struck me last time I was in Vancouver (August 2008). I stayed with friends in an apartment building that was next to the Qube aka the Phoenix Building, on West Georgia St. On my first day off I wanted to try and find the place where Mac's houseboat had been. Maybe it would be a long search, but I had all day to myself, the weather was okay, so why not. Munching my breakfast I looked out the side window (the one from which I could almost touch the Qube, and saw the marina down behind. And suddenly I recognized it. This was the Bute Marina. I had no idea that the houseboat and the Phoenix Building had been that close to each other, maybe 200 meters. Why am I telling this now? A few days ago I watched a few episodes of season 3, with some panoramic shots of the Phoenix Building with a bay and boats in the background. And now I knew that if the camera angle would have been just a little more to the left, we would have seen the houseboat. But I believe they avoided to show the houseboat, to give us the idea that it was located in a whole different area. Maybe this is a well known fact, but new to me. I made some pictures at the time, but don't know how to post them.
