So time ago I remember hearing about the possibility of RDA's name being put forward for a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

Does anyone know if this has proceeded any further?

From what I've read on Kate's site he's not selected (yet) for a Star on the Walk of Fame. Why? I really do not know.

I don't know if I want to see RDA get a star (seeing how he doesn't seem that enthused about it himself) or if it's that it bugs me who does have a star... but I signed it. biggrin.gif

I think he'd surely like it. He doesn't show his enthousiasm a it doesn't fit him, besides he's a "cool" Minnesota boy.


Still I think it would help gaining even more recognition for the shows he made big.
Of course, MacGyver was a golden format but I think very few actors would have pulled it off as brilliantly as he has done.

SG-1 is a great format too, but also thanks to RD I think.

Next to that he has such a long career, he simply deserves it...
If he'd get a star, it would mean appreciation for both all shows AND RD himself.

Because RDA's done a majority of his work in Canada... If you recall, neither MacGyver or Stargate were ignored for emmys, but at least SG-1 received some attention from the Canadian Leo, Saturn, and Spacey awards and the like. Hollywood's loss...

RDA does deserve a star after all his dedicated years in the business, but if he doesn't get one, it won't bother me too much and I doubt it would bother him. Those kinds of symbols are meaningless, anyway. What about the Oscars? Half of the actors I like never receive those, either.

Oh, and Sheepy, I agree about P. Diddy (and all rap/hip-hop artists): puke.gif
