HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Darkness falls across the land
The midnite hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
And terrorize your neighbourhood
The foulest stench is in the air
The smell of death is everywhere
And grizzy ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
You know that you will not survive
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the REAPER!!

* Poem based on Micheal Jackson's "Thriller"

Anyway, happy Halloween already, have great weekend, y'all.

I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver.

Halloween has never really taken off in Australia ~ despite the continuing best efforts by those businesses selling Halloween decorations and novelties.

From down here, it always seems a largely American celebration..

And yet another reason to party hard...

yeah it's the same in NZ too. Doesn't help that at this time of year the sun shines until 8pm and it isn't dark until 8:30. But I think the biggest problem is that we simply don't have the heritage of Halloween. Up until 15 years ago no-one had ever seen Halloween except in American movies and TV shows; then suddenly out of nowhere we had Halloween stuff in the stores, so some people started trick or treating, but no-one understands the subtleties of how it works, i.e. only go to houses with front light on or decorations.

It's seen by most people purely as a money making scheme for the stores and companies that sell the Halloween stuff.
