'Jack in the Box' and 'The Odd Triple'= good eps!

I like when Mac and Jack are escaping in the back of that truck, whem Mac gets an idea,
Jack says "What? You're lightbulb just went on!"

I know I'm not too experienced, but my room-mate and I just completely went nuts with laughter when we noticed that just about every girl he meets tries to shake his hand, but for somereason - in that telling millisecond before - they seem to be reaching for his... gun.

Just a thought.

I thought of a couple more...

From Serenity-- the beginning scene where MacGyver is telling Pete he's a hurting guy, needs rest--and a haircut! I thought this was funny because his hair is so long in season 5!

From Good Knight MacGyver--when MacGyver learns that his first name is Angus, the lady says, "Oh, that's a beautiful name," and he says, "Maybe for you, but where I come from...?" His slightly disgusted look is priceless!

How about: 'So this is my fate. Merlin the Target!!'

Yeah, that one's good, too. Actually, I love the whole MacGyver/Merlin interaction. The whole thing is funny! I love when MacGyver tells Merlin (when he's putting on the green goop) that he'd get arrested for putting it down a sewer.

the 'now i can turn my helicopter into a gunship' line had me and my brother rolling round the floor with laughter it's just the way he says it

When you come to think of it, nearly every episode has it's funny moments.

Every Time She Smiles

As they're escaping captivity on the luggage conveyor belt, amongst the stares of passersby. Mac just looks to them and says, "Econom class."

For some reason, I just couldn't help a good chuckle from that one.

Question: I heard that there was an episode in which Mac was still recovering from busting his hand in a game of hockey, but still insisted on filming and just dealing with it. Is this the episode? I didn't see a solid writing tool for making Mac have a cast...

I could've missed it, though.
I mean, I was watching the episode at five in the morning, so I might've missed something important.

At the very beginning of the episode he says he broke his hand while skiing in the Swiss Alps.

In the next episode "to be a man" they tried to hide the cast.

Its interesting that he only wears it in these two episodes.. broken bones normally take 6 weeks to heal don't they?

Than they sure did a good job, cus I didn't notice it in To Be Man. So his gunshot was well thought than.

They probably waited until the cast could come off, or else we had Mac with a cast hand for nearly the rest of the season.

You can see a cast on Rick’s arm in the scene in the hospital in “the enemy within” too. They tried to hide it by having his jacket slung over the cast for most of the scene but at the end of the scene you can see it when MacGyver is helping himself to the food.

The cast in those episodes was for a couple broken fingers he had. Don't know how he got them.

In 1992, he had a broken bone in his hand as a result from a fight during a hockey game. He had to get a removable cast to film Through the Eyes of a Stranger.

Ouch.

THAT's right, that's the one where he actually removed his cast a bit early to go ahead and film it. That RDA is one tough guff, if I do say so myself.

Pretty long since this was discussed, but I have nothing better to do, so here goes

Oh, how to choose....

I guess my favorite funny scene was the snake scene in "Halloween Knights".

I also LOVE that scene in "Runners", where Jenny asks Pete out. Mac's expression!

All of "The Odd Triple", "Rock The Cradle", "Every Time She Smiles"....Most of "Out in the Cold", too.

Mac's "Whirlwind Punch" in "Prisoner of Conscience" just kills me.

There's a lot of good moments, but the funniest scene for me is in Rock the Cradle when Mac and Jack are in Pete's office, and Pete is lecturing them about how they diaper a baby... aka MacGyver's duct-tape. lol

The part in "Strictly Business" when Murdoc, the trained and experienced professional assassin, is almost caught stealing food out of the refrigerator and has to run out the back door real fast.

Just---what was the thought process there?!
"Hmmm... Well, bollocks, looks I got here too early. No MacGyver. Well, what should I do now? There's nothing here to kill but time! Hmm... Let's see if there's any snacks in the fridge. Ooh, this looks good! Ooh, this is good! ......what's that noise? ...They're back! Abort mission!" <drops food and flees>

Yeeeess!! Pete is the only adult around there, isn't he?

Oh my gosh, YES! I love that scene too! Seriously, he was stuffing his face like his life depended on it! And that "panic and run" behavior when Amy and her mom came back... Just hilarious!

Also, just HOW many weapons does Murdoc keep on him? Seriously, watching that scene made me go, "Is there actually room for a person under all that, or is he made out of weapons?

I also loved the scene from Rock The Cradle because it was a rare vulnerable moment for MacGyver, despite his otherwise science-based approach.

Yeeeesss!! C'mon, man! You're a professional! Why are you running from an unarmed civilian and a ten-year-old kid?
But nope, he's like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar!

Since he told MacGyver that he needed HIT's money, my theory is that he spends so much money on new toys like rocket launchers and teeny-tiny crossbows that he can't afford to buy groceries like a real adult, so maybe he just hadn't had lunch that day or something.

I know, right?! He's so skinny and he wears all those tight leather clothes, so where are all the pockets?! Does he have them duct-taped to his chest? The spring-loaded knife that he threw at the chairman was obviously hidden up his sleeve, so that was probably strapped to his wrist somewhere, but it looked like most of them just magically appeared inside his coat. ...Maybe he's a Time Lord and his pockets are bigger on the inside?!

Either way, hilarious.

Yeeeesss!! That was one of my favorite parts of that episode! He's just so unbelievably snarky and obnoxious there, and I love it. Because that's exactly the kind of thing that MacGyver would do that would just drive Murdoc nuts.

Ba ha ha!! You know, he really needs a better system. I bet it would hurt to rip off duct tape from your body in the heat of battle. Especially if he has any chest hair. Then again, maybe he shaves his entire body. Like a pro wrestler. That wouldn't surprise me either. .........maybe we need another Top Ten List over on that thread: the top ten ways for Murdoc to hide his weapons, or the top ten places to hide them.

That could get kinda scary. We'll have to refrain from Murdoc keeping weapons somewhere we'd rather not know about.

The beginning of "Lost Love, Part 2" when they tried to steal the dragon. Jack almost gave Mac a heart attack trying to free him! Not to mention when Mac tries Pete's birthday as the code. When it failed he was like, "I thought for sure that would work!" Since when is Mac ever sure?

One thing I find kinda comical is the scene in "Halloween Knights" when Murdoc first climbs out of his hiding place to meet up with Mac. He seemed so flustered when he noticed all those other H.I.T. members staring at him, wondering why he just climbed out of there. Watching him try to divert their attention away from him cracked me up!

Also, the scene in that episode when Mac says something like, "Murdoc! I told you to wait back there!" and Murdoc replies with, "I did! But then I got tired of playing dead!" I seem to recall that he spent seven years playing dead between his first encounter with Mac and the events of "Partners". Guess he lost his patience as he got older.

"Good Knight MacGyver, Part 2" the whole first 5 minutes. Especially "Man you could use a deodorant!"

"Every Time She Smiles" cracks me up, too. I know Penny can be a ditz, but she never fails to make me laugh at some point if she's in the episode.
